Battle for Middle Earth

Quite a few people have asked me to post this replay.

A pretty nice game for the most part, i should have ended it about 10mins before i actually did. I got complacent because i thought id got it sealed and took my eye off it a bit Anyway this prolonged the game a little longer than it should have been so makes for a pretty lousy ending. Otherwise a good watch imo and a good competition

(and it was a bit laggy, perhaps coz of a few observers)

nice game overall, really liked the balrog owning gandalf with the whip!

too bad you built towers as he decided on a WAY TOO LATE shield rush, this only enhance his position from 1pp to elves in about two minutes, probably should have anticipated this and finished this much faster as you mentioned.

Wow this is a quality games!

I know that Gamroth and Buttafly think that some mistakes happened because of some lag but the standard of play in many parts of this game is extreamly high.

These two players are the best two 1 v 1 players on the game. I do not think either one of them is better than the other. Isen always have the advantage of the Fords map if they can play like Gamroth does.

I would very much like to see these guys play another match up. Watching Gamroth play isen has been huge help to me with my isen.

Just from watching this game I feel as if I have learned so much more about isen and Gondor.

Well done guys a tremendous performance from you both.

when i saw his base with my set of horses i thought, ok gg i got this, no need for soldiers just ups & kill base.

I'm still not 100% on the game after my holliday, made some stupid mistakes with my gandalf.

wp Gamroth gg, enjoyed it.

Yeah i watched this game live, and had some talks with moro whilst watching. And we were predicting things and things that could be done better.

We came to the conclusion that 2 farms in, 2 farms out, BS in stables, really was a good decision. Because of the fast ups, gondor could melee several pikes.

Fari was weird, he should have been killed by isen. Could have been done easily he was walking on the map all the time, just on his way to lvl 5. But gondor used the ambush ability of fari a few times to escape, really pro !

Horse micro was decent, managed to steal some creeps of isen! But also lost horses.

Isen might have won easier if he would have gone double siege works, to out siege gondor. You had enough money for double siege. And a mine, next to the wall [near the trebshop of gondor] might have worked aswell.

And the end...

But overall really good game guys, wp !

Yeah the end just ruint it , i should have concentrated a bit harder. Only really annoying thing was a pretty oP wizards blast that came as a result of me not being able to stop lurtz dryfiring in time.

wow, this must be a really long 1v1!

I was thinking silver and rotw before the ending (painful tbh) but a very well played game and rotw at the least
