LOL i was just coming here to put the rating down to 7 after seriously thinking about it but then i was wondering if i should PM Daemmonette about the rating but since he thinks it deserves a 8 ill leave it the way it is and go post it in the gold replay box

What I actually said was I thought there was enough ambiguity about the replay for it to be a possible Gold contender. I think a rating of 7 or 8 would be a good rating and I don't want to colour anyone else's opinion. I think it is worth putting it to the vote and getting a clear majority opinion on it.
People should watch the replay and decide for themselves if it is more than a Silver replay and how many faults they could actually find with it.
One measure of the quality of the game is 'at what point were you sure about the outcome of the game'. If the game is decided about half way through then it is not even a Silver replay. You can often tell quite early who is the better player. The nearer to the end of the game you are before knowing who is going to win the better the replay. In this one I think I decided who was going to win after about 75% of the game which is far further along than just about any replay I have ever seen. All it needed was for a few hero micro errors to change the whole game even near the end.
I like to watch replays and I think this match meets silver as I understand the criteria for it, it's (very) well executed, esp rohan, but it lacks some quality of being highly entertaining or showing "furious" battles. It's not gold and not very close either in comparison with some games that got gold in 1.02.
