anyway, i think ball made some mid-game crutial mistakes, he knows it though, no use shuving it into his face. I learnt after the game that the reason he was trying to get sarumon to kill gate was cause HERO told him too, that cost him alot of map controle.
HERO though imo deserved the win for him crazy micro, EW right before wizard blast, extremly well used wizard blasts every time, horse + TG micro, it was all amazing.
Great replay, classic Isengard Vs Gondor match. But they were a few mistakes, some fatal ones too. The biggest and most obvious is Hero getting cloudbreak instead of eagles. Eagles would've definetly been a different story since Ball hardly had any AA at that point, cloudbreak did help at one point though stunning FU uruks in Hero's base until the cavalry came.
Also I really think Ball should've gotten early Lurtz, he could've easily afforded it. He should've probably levelled him up at a warg pit and just cripple and kill Gandalf. Hero's excellent use of Gandalf really devastated Ball, he killed Saruman twice because there was no Lurtz available. In my opinion, if Ball had gotten early lurtz he could've picked off Gandalf quite easily and then just siege his base. Still a great game though.
That replay was simply fabulous. If either of you lived nearby i'd take you out for a drink! It wasn't perfect, but then again, almost no rep. ever is. Often the more interesting games are those that don't strictly follow the same old path. An awesome exchange of blows, with a roller coaster ride to the end. Even with that Eagles misclick, it had its own interesting twists and turns.
Hero's micro was rather incredable. It looked like a ballet Ball's pike management was pretty good too. I've seen many an Isengard player get taken for a ride and end up with much more damage. Earlier Lurtz would have helped, but all said, it was a great game played well by both players.
I thought I was doomed when I clicked Daybreak instead of Eagles when fighting BaLL's deadly Isengard..
Back and forth action.. really.. a must watch for Gondor and Isengard fans alike.
Never give up Gondor! No matter how futile the situation might look!
