[Review]nice 3v3 with tons of action

This was a really good game with a lot of action. Team1 gets both the extra camps early on and keep us held back for a while. Their two isengards send constant base attacks which nearly knock out our mordor a few times. The game could have been a little better but unfortunately team1's gondor wasn't that good.

I know its tough to review a 3v3 so can I just have a brief review of team3's play?

"One of the best"? huh.gif

There were several major mistakes by all players. For example, Rohan just had Theoden + Rohirrim for the whole part of the game. He didnt even think of other heroes when he had 20k...

I rate this replay not higher than 4 or 5... Probably even 3.

What were the major mistakes I made? I thought this must be one of those replays where I just sucked out big time...so I watched it again. Here are the only mistakes I saw on our team:

Isengard: Should've spammed more in the beginning possibly (but having more upgrades early was nice-alot of times I'll come across an unupgraded combo army or some cavalry with my 2 uped uruks-it tends to work quite well...maybe not as much in this game) There was a big fight where they dropped land under me and I didn't realize it wasn't mine anymore- probably just queud up more units or something. I should've rebuilt my base quicker after the first attack possibly (but I had money for more upgraded units so I chose to have a better equipped army). I should've attacked there outpost right next to my base 30 seconds sooner. I was a little careless with saruman..when I retreated to my base I should've wormtongued those uruks (my eyes were elsewhere). There was some formation changing delay and things in some early fights. The gondor camp was particularly sloppy (I had told my teammates trolls to stay but he didn't realize it at the time) There were also some sarumans I didnt see at first- which can happen...I was looking at the base I was attacking at the time.

Rohan: Cavalry was working Motw. I don't see what the complaint was about. You failed to mention that when he had 20K he had also already knocked someone out and had AOD. Yes he should've gotten aragorn out for bonuses- but the others were just not needed. What other units should he have gotten other than rohirrim? It was working so go with it. They kept spamming copious numbers of uped uruks- perfect targets. I'll bet he did think of them...and then realized the game was already over.

Mordor: There were some eye following issues. Through some trolls away as they passed enemy keeps heading for his base when he was hit again. Could've used more trolls on the field but the cage kept going down. Lost his mill early and didn't tell his teammates. He had a bugged spot so I dont blame him for going right to a cage.

These "mistakes" are more along the lines of strategy preferences. The only big ones I saw were the land thing and the saruman who got the drop on me..."didn't I have four battalions?" Watch all other 3v3 replays...people throw their heroes away so carelessly it makes you cry. Even "pro" players camp around while their teammates go down. Sure it wasn't perfect...but it wasn't the careless hero swapping that leads to unearned balrog and AOD in most 3v3's I watch.

Witchking, how do you know I didn't even think about other heroes? In fact, I did think about them but I wasn't sure if they would really help. The main reason I had extra money early on was bc I wanted to put up ent moots. After a while maybe I should have bought Aragorn but by then they had double rain so his bonus wasn't very useful. Eomer and eowyn are just pp's on horseback in the late game when they aren't ranked up, do you think lego and gimli would have been useful? I probably should have gotten the trio but after considering it I realized I was a point or two from AOD and the game was about to be over. I decided I'd be better off saving up all my resources so I could throw a huge victory bash for my allies and I back at Edoras when the fight was over.

What other major mistakes did you find? I appreciate the suggestions.

Witchking what is your BFME name? We should play sometime...I'm not kidding. I want your name and when you will be on to play. I don't mind a condescending tone if you can compare to me...let's see. Don't flame...give me a name and a time.
