Leadership Guide for Patch 1.09v2.0
In this guide, we take a look at the use of spells and leaderships. We examine how to efficiently take advantage of the potential that buffs and debuffs have. We see into their visible effects, status effects, stacking and canceling.

Definitions
Buffs are active or passive spells or leaderships, which affects appropriate or allied units, increasing status effects.
Debuffs are active or passive spells which decreases status effects of enemy units. They have a buff canceling or killing function.
Stacking describes how two or multiple buffs or debuffs increase or decrease status effects together.
Canceling is an effect which suppresses buffs.
Killing is an effect which deletes completely the effect of a buff.
About armor: The maximum amount of armor in buffs, leaderships and also stances and formations is +75% all additional armor does not have effect. Exceptions are Glorious Charge, armor upgrades and immunity spells.
Armor Resistant (Armor Inspiring)




Armor Resistant (AR) gives 25% more armor, 125% experience and works just on horde units. It is just cancelable with Freezing Rain.
AR does not stack among themselves and can just be canceled by Freezing Rain.
Arwen Leadership just works on cavalry.
Saruman Leadership is a hidden leadership, which does not appear on the palantir.
Damage Resistant (Damage Inspiring)
High Tier Leadership
Speed Buff



Palantir gives 115% and Ivory Tower 110% speed.
Ivory Tower effects heros and horde units.
Palantir effects machines and horde units.
Speed Buffs can just be canceled with Freezing Rain. Palantir and Ivory Tower stacks together and with other buffs.
Also other buffs like Warchant, Charge Attack of guardians, Tree Beard Leadership and Mighty Rage can increase speed.
Farsight


Farsight gives 35% more range (shooting & vision).
It just effects catapults, ballistas, tribuches, ranged infantry and ranged cavalry.
Farsight stacks with everything and is just cancelable by Freezing Rain.
Elven Wood

Elven Wood gives 35% more armor, 125% damage and 125% experience on horde units. Furthermore Elven Wood sets enemy crush deceleration to 350%.
It stacks with everything but Damage Leadership and can just be canceled by Freezing Rain. Damage Leaderships get killed when casted over Elven Wood.
Elven Wood can overcast Tainted Land and Men Wood, but can not be overcasted by them.
Darkness


On horde units Darkness gives 33.3% more armor, 150% damage and 150% experience.
On monsters Darkness gives 33.3% more Armor, 125% Damage and 150% Experience.
Darkness stacks with everything and can be cancelled by Cloud Break and Freezing Rain furthermore Cloud Break and Freezing Rain can be canceled by Darkness.
Tree Beard Leadership
Tree Beard Leadership gives 25% more armor, 20% more range (shooting & vision), 125% experience and 110% speed.
It just effects Ents and can be cancelled by Freezing Rain.
Mighty Rage


Mighty Rage gives 25% more vision, 125% damage and 120% speed on horde units and heros. Casted on enemy horde units it is also an debuff.
It is DEBUFF_PROOF what means it cannot be cancelled by any debuff and stacks with any other buff.
Glorious Charge


Glorious Charge gives 125% damage and sets the armor to 99% , makes immune against fear and terror and sets crush deceleration to 0. It works just on cavalry and is like Mighty Rage DEBUFF_PROOF, which means it cannot be cancelled by any debuff and stacks with any other buff.
Shield Maiden
Shield Maiden sets the crush deceleration of near rohirrim to 50%. It is like Mighty Rage and Glorious Charge DEBUFF_PROOF, which means it cannot be cancelled by any debuff and stacks with any other buff.
Debuff
Stun



There exist just two stuns in the form of debuffs.
Poisonous Words slows down enemy horde units and heroes to 60% speed and slows down the fire rate of archers to 50%.
Hour of the Witchking with 75% damage on enemy heroes. Sets enemy hero spell timers to 20% ready.
Both stuns stack with each other and with all debuffs.
