2.1

Overview
A nice mirror between two men specialists, who both take the same starting BO, but have a significantly different playstyle. Both didn't go all out defense a single time, so there's a lot of dead men to see through this game.

Elvenlord/Men
You started with a forward rax strat, and used RC immediately on your pikes to creep faster. By not showing you had used RC, your opponent couldn't use his land for fear of your counterland. Because you started with early archers your defense was well enough to protect you, and your economy was good enough to get knight as soon as your enemy. Unfortunately for you Masterevo had a better harassment, together with his pp advantage this cost you the game.

Improvement points:
  • Preparation: Some earlier pikes would've allowed you to attack earlier, which might have saved you the game.
  • Stances: if in a battle your pikes are attacked by swords, but them in defensive, or porcupine, and let your other units save them. You really need your pikes to block his cavalry.
  • PP usage: You had 15 points before you bought land+hobbits. You could've used your first 5 to counter his land, 3 seconds after he cast it.
Masterevo/Men
You started with forward rax too, but lost some soldiers to his fast archers. Instead of teching up you went for a faster expansion, which paid off in the end. As soon as you got cavalry you got more agressive, and after that you got some heroes too. At that moment you had support heroes and a pp-advantage, thus you had the chance to end the game, and so you did.

Improvement points:
  • Idle units: At times you had some units doing nothing when you were occupied somewhere else. You can always give them an order to move around, so that you can scout for hostile movement. Theoden was able to examine the inside of his nose for a long time too.
  • Deal maximum damage: You had some hobbits from your first summon who chased his units. You could've used them instead to destroy some buildings.
Game rating: 5

RotW contender!

Can I do this for an application review? I've already seen it, and I like this game (unless I confuse this one with another). I'll get on it anyway.
