somewhere in here u can see the reason for the changes 1.05 implemented (changes that rotwk did not absorb since it's based on 1.04)

Anyway such a statements are inapropriate in any case. Btw its quite interesting that he names 1 05 as a mod all the time for some reason. Also he didnt actually mention single reason for single 1 05 change. Only general phrases like: "To make all units usefull". Would be much better to give reasons for actual changes made like:
1) Why to make goblin archers slow and with high trample resistance?
2) Why to replace MotW rebuild with elven woods?
3) Why to give heal to evil factions that already have lumber mills?
4) Why to give cavalry bonus damage vs PBs?
etc. etc. etc.
Btw i would like to ask old bfme2 players if someone asked their opinion while creating 1 05 because it seems like all changes were made up and realized by single person(at last i know his name) who wasnt even one of the best players (maybe i mistaken not sure, say if so) without real discussions.

laugh.gif But with this logic goblin warriors and corsairs must be changed same way, not only archers. Somehow in rotwk its not an issue at all and never was as i know. Ofc there are more ways to deal with cav due to bigger units variaty and soft counter system but some things are the same - you still can use your archers under fort protection or evacuate somewhere while distracting enemy cav in other place or cover with lings to kill some weak cav like imladris etc. If to make archers that slow in rotwk gobs would have no chances against sogs or uruks harass at all. Also its much harder to catch fliers and im not even saying about very strong inconsistency between such archers and their image in movie. Very unjustified change for me.

2.01 is not based on 1.04. Its based on 1.03.

It cant be based on 1.04 because in 1.04 as I said already in my post above, tons of things were changed (which didnt match with the stats in 2.01). I dont know why Silverbane does not understand.
BFME2 Version 1.03 is much more similiar to 2.01 (hp of buildings, pp order, ld and buff values etc...)


I don't see what i could possibly misunderstand? I only said OOS appeared since 1.05(1.06) and thats all.
Elf wood is dumb indeed.
I love this type of leadership so much more than 50/50 everything, but damage/ armor ratio must be normalised ( something thats happening in beta already afaik)

I missed where some1 said that this should be implemented in rotwk too? Also goblins do just fine here. Here gobs do well vs sog harras with those arches. Uruks are even dealt without archers no problem.

This is a game, a single cave troll was throwing 10 heroes around in the moria scene. Should they make them as good as well because of movie?

I was talking from perspective that if reason for such a change was half trolls crush revenge absence and considering that rotwk half trolls are the same so theoretecly it could be reason for same change in rotwk but i said that it wouldnt work for sure there. Generally i was trying to say that imo old pre 1 05 version of archers would be fine in 1 09.

But did he kill one? Ofc many little things are not exact like longshot damaging only enemies but not all as it should be or trampled units that receive damage only once despite how many horces ran over them while they were knocked down etc. But such a change is far not little. Making gobs slow and untrampable is the same if to make guardians fast and with bows and arrows instead of axes without any exaggaration. Would u like it? Its not a balance question ofc. But i think that in such a game balance should serve to authenticity and not vice versa. U cant do everything u want for thd sake of balance here.
