Did you watch the 1st of the two games or am I just supposed to believe that this one was not more entertaining ?!
I thought that trying out a totally unfamiliar and uncommon tactic would be more appreciated rather than just playing similarly to the same boring casual 1st game innocent.gif
P.S.
Spoiler
Not to mention that by using the word "lame" you can only be referred to 1.00/1.06 !

When playing vs dwarves, a goblin player should not prepare himself for a trollrush ... .
I know, if u decide to demo-rush, the goblin will need pikes/spiderexpansion. But a forgeworks can be spotted before the demo gets out or reaches the goblins base. Not to mention that he probably spotted some dwarven-units already, so he knew you could not have build a forgeworks.

Also, getting a fast demo would be normal dwarven gameplay. While luring a cavetroll into your opponents base just seems like bug-abuse or at least a very unfair thing to do.

Just my opinion smile.gif

Nothing close to bug abuse unless you are completely unaware of what exactly a bug is plus its one pretty hard thing to do since it requires a decent micro for being offhost in order to properly move the troll to the enemy base without dmging its hp and make it actually attack the enemy fortress (and not any other building or enemy units which can easily be done when the troll gets distracted by them) from that distance which I found pretty challenging to do (was my first attempt on this map and from the larger distance in contrast to the nearer CT lair)
if you believe you can easily do it with dwarves just like I did, be my guest and I would still salute you for doing so cuz its nothing against any moral rules

People should stop misinterpreting bug abuses with rational uncommon well presented strategies. You may feel free though to request its alteration in 1.09 but I assure you its not a bug, the troll who's lair is destroyed just follows its perpetrator who at my case where phalanxes.

P.S.
For the record a small example: Battlewagon attacking with MoD from inside the mine is actually a Bug.

The CT just following the units who threatened its lair which is totally destroyed is not a bug cuz it simply follows them cuz it has nothing else to protect any more. You would be God damn right if the Cave Troll would follow my units while its lair was completely untouched though.

Yes I can agree its not a bug. But i still think its like abusing game mechanics that aren't ment to be used this way. The fact that it requires micro doenst change anything. I consider it a unfair move: instead of playin a normal game, you use a cowardly "strat" to finish your opponent in 5 minutes.

You know that, as gobs, your opponent will probably not have a counter to a cave troll this early in a game (most players go double cave). Like i said in my previous post: when facing dwarves, you should NOT take in account a trollrush.

There is no need to go in the semantics or the technical description of what a "bug" is, that's not the point: i said that it was "LIKE bug abuse or atleast a very unfair thing to do".

But yes, i understand how it can be seen as a legitimate strat: kill the troll's home --> troll is mad and will follow you --> you fool the troll into your enemies base.

Nonetheless, for me it stays a cheap move. A silly trick, not to be used in a tournament game.
