A high skilled game between MotW and Goblins. Fabled started with a twist to the normal MotW strategy, with a Knight rush. Val, knowing nothing about this, went with the conventional 2 tun > 2 cave strat. This meant that Fabled could hold off the harrassment with ease and also take down an early PB with his first 2 Knight bats, giving an instant PP advantage. Val got a quick spider pit up to try and counter the Knights, while Fabled went for a barracks and an early Well. Mid game approached, and the stage where this game really shon and hit its peak. Huge numbers allover the battlefield and Fabled even took some creeps amongst the action. There was still large numbers of cavalry and Goblin Warriors allover the battlefield, now with the introduction of hero's, and therefore all important Leadership. It was impossible to predict the outcome of the game, each player with mass units and some excellent hero useage (9/10 for Vals Shelob). Perhaps the one big mistake of midgame was the expansion, no player made a real attempt to gain a large amount of map control, but this could be excused as both were trying to outnumber and outmicro eachother. Powers were used well up to now, and the first Balrog summon managed to down some PB's and level 3 RB's, and even cancelled out completey the AotD summon. Fabled never really fully recovered from this, as Val still had large amounts of units on the opponents ford. From here, the hero's of MotW died far too easily and far too much for Fabled to get a foothold in the game, and slowly he perished. Very good game, well worth the watch.

The first half was very good and the second was quite bad imho. It should have ended earlier imo if one would have concentrated more and it would have bee na quality game all the way.
