Overview:

This was a well played game by both factions, there were some issues though that really hurt mordors chances of winning throughout the game, he then came back with surprise surprise the Barlog Summon. We also had a god complex among the MoTW Player, I'll get into that later.

TaG|Extreme` (Men)

Your starting game was great, forward rax to a very fast knight rush really hurt mordors economy. Some things that went wrong were a real failure to respond to mordors forged blades. This really let him come back from a severe PP advantage you had but lost once his blades came out. His pikes were very limited in the first part of the game, only 1 batt of pikes for creeping. An earlier nazgul would have established your dominance much quicker against SoG spam and Knights. When you used land and didn't see a barracks, you know a forward rax is coming. Counter back with a forward harad palace, it may not be as effective as men, but it helps you get your nazgul almost as fast as his knights. I'm only going to say this once, Aragorn is not GOD! He cannot take an army of punishment without support. Everytime you lost him its because you went commando, or his very little support got cut down quickly. You also wasted some of your powers. Arrow volley on a horde of orcs in his base, worth less than 150 gold is not worth the use of a 10 point power. Instead use it on harassing mobs or OA/Easterlings.

Points of Improvment:
  • Aragorn is a hero, with extreme surviveability, but don't push it, if he gets swamped he's doomed. Save your money and be smart with him!
  • Once you lost your stables, he resumed his orc spam which really held you back and let him back into the game. Don't be afraid to rebuild even if its only for anti-harassment.
  • Arrow volley - It's a great power, it can kill so much in an instant, don't waste it on orcs, its just not worth it, save it for some juicier targets.
  • Unless your hero spamming to the extreme having no upgrades while bladed corsairs are running amok in your lines, you need to answer back with upgrades of your own or a solid counter. Try coming up with extra armour or your own forged blades to even the score.
PoW|Bikini* (Mordor)
You played poorly in the beginning but progressively got your confidence back and really fought your way back up for a win in the end. I think your start was a bad choice seeing his forward rax, as orcs have a hard time catching up with SoG, and without horde bonus, OA's are decent vs SoG. Also knowing that the quick knights were coming a double pit start wasn't a good option. You didn't see a barracks near his fort, you knew he had a forward rax, so go and find those pikes! Try and creepsteal, you had alot of orcs running around, send them to the creeps and try for a steal, it will make you alot of money and really ruin his plans. Getting that earlier nazgul, by creeping or using less orc archers would be amazing to stop the SoG spam, and would render the knight rush almost useless. Despite the constant stream of knights or soldiers, try to expand more, or place a lumber mill in a safe location for some extra cash.

Points of Improvment:
  • Creeping - When you see a forward rax strat, creeping is the order of the day, get ontop of it! Not only does it give him alot of gold, it also opens up the inns to Elven warrior spam which he used very effectively.
  • *edited out* This was a Men comment!
  • Once you see some inn elves on the field, make it your top priority to take those inns away, they are cheap, fast, versatile units that kill most things in your army.

Why did Drizzt decide to buy Gandalf...better question how the fuck does he lose after getting 5 creeps to Blinky's 1.

I had to fight for every inch in this game while he was able to sit back and actually get Gandy although it didn't do him much good. The fact that he got 5 creeps and i only got 1 further proves how easy it is early game for motw.

Blinky your mid game was shattered because you couldnt find a balance between orc spam and unit mixing. Although u had a tavern and palace, orcs take up to much cp which made it difficult to get heroes and other troops out.You had heaps of orcs, and no CP, which ment it was easy for drizz to take out sh's. It also delayed your first rhun by about a minute. Thats why if u go dual orc pit, dont spend to much time spamming orcs, mainly have them to get fast archers to defend and then quick rhun.
