Battle for Middle Earth 2 1.06

Well the delay was fairly bad (not unplayable, and it was consistent, so I kinda just predicted what would happen). But it made cav micro impossible. Well, this game, we didn't agree on anything, but I decided I didn't want to go straight Aragorn as many ppl bitch about. Fischer didn't go straight Eagle either. He owned early game, I owned midgame, but we both hit late game.

Seems like I'm cashfloating at points... but I wasn't (unless the very end). smile.gif. Be warned, camping is involved if you want to watch this, but I think it has a high entertainment rating.

This replay really makes me look bad I played very poorly at mid and lategame where I think I should winn, and when the initiative was lost and I had to camp as well, I just ran into hes camp time and time again. Boromir wonn this game.

I mass and army I think will be ownage. Go to pick a fight. Boro comes up, blows hes horn and all stand with the hands to the ear because of that horrible false note of gondor. Then my army gets owned by one of the following: Arrow strike. Gandalf with blast on archers and pikes. Tom making a mess etc. and the sad remains get finished by fire rangers while haldir tries to sneak back to the fort ^^

Ahh Elven heroes. they dont understand that they are supposed to die with the rest of the army

Pros
Excellent expansion early
Boromir's horn won the game for you

Held off fire arrows on rangers till you pop capped out

Cons
LS is no longer a hero killer, its more of a building killer or finsh off battalioner.
Overdid the defences a little
Little cashfloat, not too bad

Summary: Wow, a great game by you. My cons are all somewhat picky, but I had to be. In my opinion, you overdid the base defences, although in my opinion you didn't ever full out camp. You had to have the battle towers, the fortress fire and tower upgrades might have been overkill. When defending in the north, I suggest 1 tower for each farm and 2 rangers in the tower closest to his base (so he has to go by that one to reach any of the other tower/farms) You had a slight cashfloat, otherwise this was a very good game.

Lost Arwen to pikes
Fell for horn trick, alot
Lost eagles unecessarily
Didn't use flood on gandy, pikes > mounted gandy, so flood is too.

Summary: Not quite as good as Fabled, but less defenses. Most of the cons were simply micro mistakes only one to two knowledge things. For the other mistakes pracitce makes perfect, and lag ruins your practice . You do not use guarded stance near often enough, i turn it on right when my units come out, except on archers and heroes. All other aspects of your game were strong.

Game Summary: Honestly the best 1.06 I have reviewed. A very good game, I really appreciate the use, but not abuse, of Aragorn and Eagles. Two good players battling to the finish.
