Hero Changes
All BT2:DC heroes require less experience to reach rank four and beyond, making high level powers more attainable.
Glorfindel
Basics: Blade of Purity damage bonus heavily reduced, mounting while Blade of Purity is active is now impossible
Tactics: In similar fashion to the Eagle, Glorfindel has been significantly nerfed to change his role from a simple tank to something that requires far more skill. Now that he is most effective on foot and Blade of Purity does not turn him into an instant god, he can no longer ride in, destroy the enemy's entire economy, and ride out with no risk involved. Instead, while he can still be a devastating harasser, using him effectively requires good positioning, perfect mount/dismount timing, and a refined sense of when to push deeper into enemy territory and when to escape.
Legolas
Basics: Buildtime greatly reduced, Train Archers ability available at a lower rank, Knife Fighter ability available at a lower rank, Knife Fighter armor bonus significantly increased
Tactics: No longer a distant second to Glorfindel in the realm of 2000-cost heroes, BT2:DC Legolas can be one of the most effective heroes in the game. A much lower buildtime means he is no longer a huge short term risk, and various buffs to his abilities make him much more versatile. Knowledge of where and when to send him, along with good use of his many abilities, can turn him into a constant thorn in the enemy side.
Elrond
Basics: Speed increased, damage against heroes greatly increased, Athelas heal significantly increased and now affects units around him in a fairly large radius
Tactics: Elrond of BT2:DC is a combination of leader and assassin. His Leadership remains unchanged, and the large buffs to his heal ability make him even better as a support hero in the midst of battle. On top of that, his high damage and speed make him absolutely deadly against other heroes, though he must be used carefully, as his health and armor are fairly low.
Thranduil
Basics: Reload time reduced, arrows are now impossible to dodge, Deadeye exploit fixed, armor against pikemen and structure arrows doubled.
Tactics: No longer completely overpowered when abused and useless when not, the Thranduil of BT2:DC is the deadliest sniper in the game. The reduction of his reload time makes him perfect for picking off enemy units and heroes, both when Deadeye is activated and when it is not, and the armor increase against pikemen means he isn't quite as fragiile.
