Unit Analysis:
Everything you need to know and then some.

- Asterisk denotes the new value once upgrades are taken into consideration.
- All credit (and liability) goes to Rainmaker for compiling unit stats.Literally the only pikemen in the game incapable of destroying a production building before the Fort arrows get the best of them, Mithlond Sentries are well reputed failures. They slow down the entire Elven army and lack the raw ability of other pikemen. Irregardless, they are probably one of the best pike units in the game. Not following? Allow me to elaborate.
They may suck, but they are Elves, and Elves are cool. Being Elven infantry, Mithlond Sentries are capable of stealthing when in trees, fire arrows when garrisoned in a structure, and automatically heal once leveled. People often fail to realize just how much this is worth, well maybe not the firing arrows bit, but the capability to stealth is neat.
Any pike unit capable of stealth, no matter how sub-par stat-wise, is conceptually amazing. I'll give this a moment to sink in... you are probably laughing. Therein lies the problem, the leap to application. I promise your laughter will take a very different tone when your stealthed Sentries stop Mordor mounted heroes cold or effectively win you the game by thwarting a cavalry rush. Stealth is seldom utilized - use it. Maybe you are not sold yet, well...did I mention I lied? Mithlond Sentries actually have the highest base damage output out of all pikemen. Given their monster component (and since it helps my argument) Half-Troll Marauders don't count. But yes, Mithlonds do very respectable damage...against units. They have a scalar that prevents them from being solid building destroyers.
You probably still don't like Mithlonds. Me either. Oh well...
