I was surprised how Squal managed to keep up a good fight when you got out with such a strong advantage in the beginning; you had the map and you had the oils! To make it even harder for Squal you managed to TT his supplies 2 times very early as well. Very aggressive play from you Vedzz.
Saviour for Squal was the great achievement of getting up a full mig base without being harassed by bee gla. Exellent mig usage I must say!!
At this point I really really missed some economic thinking from you vedzz. Imo you went way overboard with bombtrucks; you did hurt him quite a bit with them though, but as long as you couldnt back up the effect from the bombtrucks with scorpions the game remained sort of stale-mate, advantage to you still. I was waiting for black markets that never came. Im sure you banged your head at your desk when you realized you had no money, no supply and no BM's. I would call this a big mistake tbh, cause if you had played a little safe, getting up some BM's, camping just a little bit while you kept stinging Squal, you would had an easy game for sure.
Cant say much more now or I ruin the excitement for others. Good play by both yes, some mistakes like the one I mentioned and of cource Squal running his lotus into toxic waste, overall a good game and it is recommendable.
EVERY SINGLE GvC I've ever played vs Squal I made at least 2 if not 3 Black Markets. And all of those games I lost because of it.I know it doesn't sound logical but he kills them either with artillery or lotus,one way or another he hunts them down and I'm left without the middle.
I guess with the $2500 for a black market I can buy 2 bomb trucks which could ultimately kill an AF or two and win me the game. From now on I rather take the chance that those bomb trucks will hit rather than play it safe and go for a black market only to get owned late game anyway.
Yeah, i know what your saying. However from what I saw from the game, how the game developed and so on, you had total control, but not in the economics department. From my own experiences the worst scenario possible is a gla camping up with tunnels, stingers and blackmarkets. Im not talking about one or two BM's, weak vs artillery, but multiple BM's. This can of cource only happen when china is kept back on the defence like in this replay.
I dont think you would have lost if you made some BM's in this game; your control was too heavy upon him for that to happen. I understand however that your previous losses to him made you change your tactics the way it showed here.
if you are playing a camping game vs china, you ll be surprised how the rocket upgrade in your blackmarket can play to your advantage. it gets so much easier killing ovies with scorps. i always go 4 at least 1 blackmarket if the oppertunity arises.
I wouldn't have been in control at all,if I didn't make as many units as I did.There was not a single moment in the game where I had time to think "Ohh where shall my lovely black market go". If you pay close attention to my money,most of the game believe it or not I didn't have very much cash at all despite having all the land.
When China keeps pressuring to push you back,GLA has to keep an equal amount of force,if not more to stop China from taking the land.....
Was gg very wp by both. Only tru mistakes i saw was squall getting that overlord owned near the end by 3 scorpions. Only mistake I saw from vedz was letting 1 RED GUARD OWN HIS NEARSIDE RIG!!!!!!!!. That was silly imo. Not to take away from his superb play tho.
Was gg not many can play at this level.Would have liked to see vedz build a command center,but i dont think he ever does:P
Never knew who would win ,and maybe if squall dont give up game can play on(level 3 plus command ceter plus mining buildings is nasty vs gla). I give it 8 out of 10:D.
