Player of the Second Quarter - 2021
Hello Generals! It has been a while that the second quarter of 2021 has ended, so it is time to look back at all the tournaments we had and who were the best performing of the quarters.
The second quarter had a total of 13 tournaments that came to an end. The biggest tournament has to be the World Series 2021 with the highest prize pool in ZH history: $3,500. The smallest tournament has to be the King of BO1, a quick 1-day-tournament where the players play a set of 1 match. Peace Lover was the first player that won that tournament and is, for all we know, also the first player to win a ZH tournament without losing a single game. After the second spot from last quarter, Peace Lover can find himself now on spot 5.
Below you see the ranking of all the players that have reached either the semifinals or a third place in any tournament that ended in this quarter.
1. ExCaL^ 4x
2x
There are not many certain things in life. You die one day, you pay taxes and after every quarter it is ExCaL^ who was the best performing player. Third time in a row now for ExCaL^: he was the best player in the last quarter of 2020, and in the first quarter in 2021 and he continues with it in the second quarter of 2021.
ExCaL^'s most impressive performance has to be World Series 2021. He won in a final against Fargo with 7-2, and lost only 5 games in the whole tournament. A prize of $1,600 went his way, the biggest prize in ZH history.
Another tournament win was the China Tournament, with another final against Fargo (7-2). In addition, ExCaL^ won the 3vs3 Defcon invitational League with a where he teamed with ViviD~ and Wizard. ExCaL^'s wins is completed with winning the Clanwars of April.
ExCaL^ also lost two finals. Against SiZe he lost the top 8 Invitational by Nerosk final (7-4) and with Spalding he lost against his fellow OoE mates ViViD~ and Logica in the final of the Tournament 2v2 Season 2 (7-4).

4. Fargo 1x
2x
Fargo, Mr. EZ, won the Clanwars in June. However, the biggest performance when looking at the prize money he got is reaching the finals of the World Series 2021. After a flying start (5-0 against -CyanSpider^, 6-0 against _spL_, 6-3 against OwenCover) he crosses paths with -BiG^SiZe^. A thrilling quarterfinal with a decider at the end secured a spot in the semifinals for Fargo (7-6).
The semifinals against GooGle was another great performance of Fargo. After being behind, he managed to pull it around and even won as nuke vs infantry on Vendetta. At the end, the score was 7-5 for Fargo. However, the big final was the end for him, he lost against ExCaL^ (7-2), but still got $800. Fargo lost also another final earlier in the quarter, in the China Tournament it was again ExCaL^ who beat him with the same score (7-2).
Reaching twice the finals, and winning the Clanwars in June makes him the number four of this list. He did retire after the WS finals, so it is time to have a nice interview with him. Read more about that

He is the only player that did not lose a single game in the World Series, after winning the first round with 5-0 against myboi, he was not able to play in the next round. Peace Lover also had the highest survival rate of his units of the whole World Series, Peace Lover is a name that fits him well.
Peace Lover won the first edition of the King of BO1 in a quick final against Logica. As GLA versus Logica's inf, he won the match on Canyon of the Dead and was crowned as the first king of the best of 1.
Peace Lover also reached the finals of the March Ladder Wars but forgot to play the finals versus Ka$$ad. With FlameIORI, Peace Lover got the third place in the Master & Apprentice tournament after beating Makeveli/-RaDaR^(7-1).
With 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal, Peace Lover came in as the fifth on this list. If he won against Ka$$ad, he would have been the runnerup again. Overall, Peace Lover seems to be knocking on the door of the pro players already, but he might be a but of an unknown to the majority.
