Hi Generals!Today we have a special treat for you! The
Humvee Training Map by MrGreen. It is basically a standard maximum 2 player humvee map with a couple of cool extras added on. It features many interesting waves of increasing difficulty, upgrades purchasable with money raised by kills and much more! It differs a lot from the other humvee maps out there so we urge you to give it a try.
Here is some info before you play it;
- You start with 3 humvees (with 3 Missile Defenders inside) and 2 ambulances. The enemy computer will send waves of units which you are to destroy.
- The next wave of units will not come until you have destroyed the current wave. Once both players have lost all of their units, they lose. If you destroy the last wave, you win. It's pretty self explanatory once you play the map.
- For every unit you destroy, you get a certain amount of money which can be used to either buy drones for your humvees/ ambulance or additional units/ upgrades at your strategy center.
!! If receiving the map in-game, you'll need to restart your game because a mismatch will occur !!
This map has been tested concisely by
MrGreen and
HerB but of course there might be bugs that have been overlooked. Feel free to post here with anything you think could be improved on. Winning the map is 100% achievable although it is
quite difficult!.
Unfortunately because of the large.ini file, the map mismatches quite a lot on the Revora servers, so for maximum gameplay experience it is recommended to play it either on
LAN,
single player or on
Gameranger.
How to play
- Download the .zip file for the map (see the link below) and extract it with a program like win zip in My Documents>Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour>Maps (or the folder where your Zero Hour Maps folder is located).
- Start up Zero Hour.
- Host a game and in the map selection menu, go to unofficial maps and choose Humvee Training by MrGreen [V1] and then configure the following:
Player slot 1: USA team 1 (human)
Computer slot 2: USA team 1 (hard computer)
Computer slot 3: China team none (hard computer)
2 PLAYER:Player slot 1: USA team 1 (human)
Player slot 2: USA team 2 (human)
Computer slot 3: China team none (hard computer)
Start the map and play.
Post replays of either failing on it or owning on it!Enjoy!
