Greetings Generals! GameReplays Editor Claymore, on behalf of GameReplays, has had the chance to speak a few words with fellow ZH staff member and donor for numerous ZH events
AKAbolony and brings you the complete interview in this article. The interview consists of two parts with the first part containing answers to questions asked by GameReplays staff and the second part containing answers to questions asked by fellow ZH community members themselves. The number of questions our fellow ZH community has had for AKAbolony is astonishing and the vast majority of them have been answered in this interview.
GameReplays: Tell us something about yourself. Your name, age, where do you live, what do you do professionally, do you have any hobbies?
AKAbolony: My name is Patryk, age 39 and I am from Poland. I am shipping and logistics specialist, have my own business. My hobbies are sports, books and when I have time heavy drinking and partying. And ZERO HOUR.
GameReplays: Please tell us how you got into C&C and particularly ZH? What do you like about ZH? Can it be considered your favorite game?
AKAbolony: ZH is definitely my favorite game. I started with Generals back in the days when it came out, and then ZH came out. I had been playing C&C games since the beginning so switching to ZH was like a natural process. But ZH was the one, and I knew it right away 😊. I like everything about ZH, even those ridiculous bugs etc. It is just a part of the game.
GameReplays: You've donated lots of money to ZH tournaments. How much money have you donated so far (roughly)? What made you want to donate to ZH? Should the ZH community be worried about you ceasing to donate any time soon? Do you have plans to move on to a different game?
AKAbolony: I really don’t know exactly how much money I've donated so far. It changes almost every day 😊. I think maybe 15.000,00 USD, maybe more, maybe less. I got inspired by Lucifer, I was watching some of his challenges and just wanted to do the same. It was kind of annoying that I had to wait for a long time for some top players, just to watch them play. This way I could get on top of things. And then I saw that people enjoyed it as much as I did so I just kept on going. I met a lot of nice people because of it and felt that I can make a difference. Entertain people and consolidate our community. I don’t have any plans to stop or switch to any other game. Don’t worry.
GameReplays: Generally speaking, what are your thoughts about the current state and future of ZH and its community? Do you think there are some issues that need to be addressed and if so, which ones? What would you like to see in the near future in regards to ZH or its community? Do you have any message for the ZH community?
AKAbolony: I am very satisfied with the community at the moment. I just wish that some people took things easy and behaved properly. Stop being childish and everything will be cool 😊. I have also another message especially to people from gamereplays.org – you are doing a great job. Managing this kind of community is not easy and not always appreciated, but just keep up the good work. I want to thank everyone for making tournaments (sponsoring and managing), maps, gentool, updates etc. I cannot mention everyone, but I am sure that people know what I mean and who I am thinking about.
GameReplays: Is there a ZH player you consider your favorite one? If so, who is it and why?
AKAbolony: There are lots of players who I like. It is so difficult to say who my favorite one is. I have a deep respect for all top players, because it is such a hard achievement to master it on top level. Not everyone can get there. I am happy for other players who are working on getting there as well. In the future I will try to make more events for semis. But I have an advice – always say GG😊
