Hmm, opening with an airfield normally means MiGs, if it's against Air, but you, for some reason (perhaps this was not played with Random Balance on), went for the Ultimate Oopsie vs Air, a Helix. All of those poor TH's were crying the blues when they saw that thing queued up, and heard the roar of the F-16 engines blazing closer until the rockets thrust into the side of the Helix, bringing them all down.

Preceding this blow was your middle oil having been captured by a lowly Ranger, but no matter, you took it back, then gave him some XP by throwing your Troop Crawler into his guard tower. And afterword he destroyed one of your dozers, making you afraid enough to rebuild your CC. At this point in the game you should have delved heavily into ECO spam, taking all the supplies on the map and spamming Infantry from 6 Barracks or so, while using MiGs as a backup - if you think that wasn't a possibility, keep in mind that your opponent was wasting left and right, so he definitely wouldn't be up for the massive spam and having to deal with your mining of both sides of the middle, but at the same time, perhaps you didn't have the macro to achieve such an audacious thing either, but nonetheless, that was the optimal thing to do.

But you didn't do that, you invested in most things slowly. You were floating cash that could have been spent on more Airfields (if you intend to use MiGs, use lots of them). Also, you were using more Mini-Gunners(MG's) than you were using Tank-Hunters(TH's), which is not the best idea if you want to do loads of damage against your opponent, and advance to, or into his base like a wall of fire. Additionally, a rule of thumb for Inf, you can have bunkers and units everywhere, so do that; Just a few scattered MG's around the map will make using his Raptors against you a loss every time, and the map awareness will always be a help. As for the bunkers, place one at each and every spot that needs a strong defense. It'll save you money in the long-run to not have as much to rebuild.

When everything went to chaos for a minute and then your army finally got up into his base form the right side, you really should have capitalized on the opportunity to destroy more Vees there, the micro wasn't very well done. Remember, that leaving TH's inside the Outpost when you have ECMs can actually make them more effective against TOW-Vees, because they will fire all of the rockets at once and not move around as much - but this is something that you need to work around if he has MD's. Additionally, your troops can fire while the transports are moving, and you're in somebody's base during the late game, so bombers and the like should be anticipated, keeping that in mind will remind you to always have your transports moving around the target they are firing on, this way you can avoid bombers that crush your armies in the future. That attack force was your last chance to secure this game for yourself.

Capturing his CC with Lotus was just a bonus point for you in this one, getting you a little funny thing to say to him during or after the game, and I hope you did, but the vain attempts to rebuild a base as Air just was not to be.

Your opening seemed like an ordinary duel supply, nothing special BO, then you put down an airfield, cancel it, then you go for your WF, get it to 48% before cancelling it, then going for an airfield again; That strange combination move told me that you weren't going to be decisive in this game. biggrin.gif

You got your MD into your middle defensive tower and were then able to see that he had gone for the oil there (his MG in view), so what was your reaction? - To send a Ranger there without thinking to target the MG in the first place, meaning your poor little Ranger had to fight for his life until the final drop of health was all he had left before capturing the oil for you, however, even in this the poor Ranger was not satisfied, because the oil had already been captured and his $1,000 bonus was stolen from him.

In the meantime you got a nice defensive Firebase at your left-entrance and had your Raptors up and flying, using the first to take down his idle Helix (a nice first hit to morale). The second Raptor was wasted on hitting a bunker at his right-entrance. That was not a good target, should have hit dozers, trucks, or any other unit(s) that you could destroy with the 6 missiles you had to spare. Your 3rd Raptor strike was nicely done, taking out both the bunker and the dozer in one go. Also, you began to float a bit, not hugely, but still, floating cash should not be done with such an army as Air, in which all things are useful, like a 2nd airfield to allow for base devastation.

All of a sudden you saw an empty troop crawler heading up the bridge to your base, behind it standing a squad of MG's eagerly capturing your oil. What was your reaction? - Nothing. post-13661-1143531603.gif You could have flown in with everything you had, cleaned it up, and driven straight into his base for big ownage instant win, but you wanted a challenge by letting him expand to MiGs and other Chinese accessories.

So you send your Scout Vee down the left to die as a distraction (apparently), ramming him valiantly into oncoming bullets while you watched the advancing army coming for your base up the right side, which you hunted with impunity, catching all of the helpless MG's and they fled for the hills; Much brutality. And in the meantime you sent another distracting Scout Vee down the left side, to again be sacrificed to oncoming fire, then you figured that was not enough, so you sacrificed a Raptor to destroy his scary Dragon tank. And in the middle you saw the oil still ominously standing there, so you, without regard to the poor people of the villages, and your own economy, destroyed it.

Following that scuffle was a well executed, though poorly times attack, that resulted in the destruction of his MiGs and airfield, having Raptors swoop in while you distracted the MiGs with your helpless Vees...well, at least two survived for a bit, and you were able to use the MD's to destroy his oil, and the Vee to distract his TH's.

Another Raptor was send as a Sacrifice, this time on the right side, before your went down the middle with a Duel-Vee+Ambo sacrifice for his MiGs, but he was still not satisfied with your tributes, so he went up the right side with his army of MG's & TH's, costing you $1,000 by creaming your freshly build Firebase, and much more when he blew your oil away. However, I don't see that you minded too much, considering your $10,000 float and decision to switch entirely to TOW-Vee spam.

Your bomber went down the left side, dropped its bombs, and destroyed 1 truck, 1 dozer, and a civilians home, then you sacrificed two Raptors to his MG's for some unknown reason. You could have used them to target his oncoming bomber that subsequently destroyed your strategy center. In response you sent the Spectre Gunship to clear his stuff off the left-middle area, and went right on down to his base to start an offensive, when you remembered that he had MiGs and you didn't have Avengers, so you went back, only to be hit by the MiGs, but it wasn't a good hit, and he began to attack your left-side anyway, so you just kept on driving back while the units in your base went about trying to clear the danger, which went really well, since he just ran away and came up with much more force on the right side instead.

And boy o boy, that looked like it could have been worse, until he used his bomber, paradropped MG's right onto your army, and you ran out of money, then it was worse. But you didn't have to worry, your bomber came in to save the day, successfully crushing his army in your base, save for 2 MG's. And by then you had the mighty Pathfinders to nullify all troops on the ground, coupled with your Spectre Gunship cleaning up the left-middle yet again, lowing his morale.

So the game was finally at a point where you could easily win again without more losses, right? - WRONG! you got so confident that you left him capture your CC and begin rebuilding whilst you wiped the floor with his original base. Extending the length of the game for the sake of it. But whatever, it adds to the story.

Rating for my entertainment: 3.7/10
A 20 minute game with lots of erratic actions throughout, many losses on both sides, and, though many poor decisions were made, the winner is at no point determinable until the end.

GG.

Anyways, most of the "mistakes" that were made, were made with purpose, some of them obviously failed, but it wasnt done by mistake. xD There were a lot of mistakes made indeed, most of them were in panic mode biggrin.gif. Anyways, thanks again for the review, it made me laugh multiple times during reading it. Appreciate the effort you put into it, like really, there s a lot! wub.gif

Intentional or not, the poor reviewer cannot tell. biggrin.gif Panic mode is a scary thing to be in, but it makes for some heart-pounding action as you race to do damage in an attempt at victory. I gave it a Wub because it was something different than the last bunch. tongue.gif
