[SC]Blind vs Inline

Downloaded and will watch tonight. Thanks for posting have not seen much from you lately. I love watching mirrors and hate playing in them (other than usaf mirrors for whatever weird reason). Playing in them often shows me how much I really suck (which, oddly enough, I hate n1qshok.gif ).....watching them allows me to learn.

You went for a traditional center build, which is one of the safest BOs you can do in Nuke mirror. If you do it correctly it can counter nearly every other build that they could do. You sent your first truck out to scoud which CAN put a stop to helix builds, but you just couldn't get your truck to stop moving. tongue.gif I don't know if his bunker just destroyed the truck's pathfinding abilities or you never pressed "S". It's paramount that you hurt the opponent's economy when they go for a helix strat since it's usually followed up by a pretty quick tech, and you can get overwhelmed in the center. You got one of his trucks which helped but you were still behind in the tech tree by mid game. Less experienced players should look at how he spaced out his gatts through his base because it's really quite a good idea. The two placed up front by the center supplies on either side help to discourage flanking helixes. The last thing you want in the back of your base after you've gone center is a helix/BM combo, especially before you have your own helix. wink.gif He did manage to get a helix in the back of your base, but some really nice Lotus/Nuke cannon/helix work stopped it before it did too much damage. The nuke cannon is a pretty good idea in a mirror game such as this since it can take out those support units (gatt/ECM) which clear the way for your helix. Couple of nice uses of abilities, especially the carpet bomber in the center. Looked like you were finished for a second there. Nice lotus use at the end as well.

You went for what some might call the "slow helix" strat, which involves a bunker protecting your secondary supplies. This strat originally came out as a counter to Dual WF, so it can be a challenge to use against an opponent who goes center since his first units will be able to enter your base before your helix is up. You did a fairly nice job of countering his early advances on your base which allowed you to quickly tech up. You got your second WF up and started pumping out those Nuke Overlords, but sometimes there was only a minimum of support units to go along with them. When your opponent has a helix himself it's important to be thoroughly covered with gatt/ECMs, because if you lose your 1 ECM protecting your tanks it could mean the end of the game for you. You were able to break into the back of his base and harass his economy eventually, but by that time the effect of your faster tech had worn off and your opponent had been able to establish a superior economy. I liked your lotus usage throughout the game. I just love using her to disable tanks - it can really help especially when you're outnumbered. Couple of really nice uses of your carpet bomber + artillery.

Summary: Good game. I am partial to Nuke mirrors because they're such an old school match up (not as popular as they were in 1.2) and have so many intricacies and subtle nuances. Both players did really well here, and [HH] made a couple of nice saves in the game. Elite I think.
