Enock (China) vs haveyouseencyan (Tox) on BBB

Big shame, shame on the cuteBUTmad tribe. haveyouseencyan must be banished.

2/10

Enock
  • Well done in the beginning, capturing both oils, and getting a Gat down at your top supply(despite him being able to stop it), however, I didn't like how you wasted your first Dragon. You just flame-walled then gave it up for dead, and when he sent his tech to your supply with RPG's & a Rebel in it, you didn't move your trucks away, so they were both destroyed; I know you ran over the RPG's with one, but you could have cleaned them up more effectively, and had the trucks there to collect, so you wouldn't lose as much time & money.
  • Why so many Outposts? - If he wanted to troll you, he could just have sent Terrorists after them, and even with an ECM you would be forced back away. Then when he decided to send his army to attack you, he attacked the bunker, and you didn't engage him while he did so! that was the ideal time to engage at the moment( you could have preemptively loaded that bunker up with the TH's from your Outposts beforehand, at least them you may have destroyed some Quads.
  • Do not go secondary economy (hackers) when you need that money for more important things, like securing map control, or in other words, taking the middle supplies for extra cash.
  • Good idea going for Infernos, but you need Black Napalm to make them super-effective, and when you go to attack with your army, ALWAYS use the Infernos to engage tunnels. Otherwise you are WASTING your army for no good reason Also, send a dozer along to secure the supplies for yourself (Supply Center, Barrack, bunkers)..
  • (When he attacked your base from behind)
    • If you have enough units to stop his attack:
    • Do not send your army back.
    • Do not use your bomber.
    • Do not worry.
    • Keep on advancing with your army toward his base, bringing Helix's/MiGs along in case you encounter buses.
  • BM's are usually a waste, but since he didn't make buses early, you got something out of them. However, losing your whole army after clearing him out of all but the top-middle/top-left was majorly disappointing, you should have stopped making BM's as soon as you saw his Palace being build, which you could see ever since you got Satellite Hack 1. They were a complete waste by that point and the game was all downhill from there.

haveyouseencyan
  • Big noob, what were you thinking? This is a GLA map, and you were tox! Send a Rebel to each oil at the start, tunnel-bunker like cancer, and go for early buses, then you win.
  • Why did you let him build that Gatling Cannon at the top supply when you could see it?! Had you stopped that, you could have harassed both supplies, instead of just failing at the bottom supply. By the way, you know that you should always assume that mines are around supplies or WF's, so you should always be extra careful. Had you harassed both supplies, you'd win.
  • Big dummy, don't destroy your own oil. Capture it. wacko.gif
  • The 5:00 minute float. puke.gif You shouldn't be starting your Palace at 6:00 minutes, you should have it by then.
  • And blah blah blah! should have been collecting from top-middle supply @ this time, blah blah blah! should have been taking bottom-middle supple @ this time, blah blah blah!
  • The attack from the bottom made no sense. Why would you attack him where his army was?! You could have attacked at the top earlier, all he had was a Gatling Cannon, destroy that, and you've got his top supply, he built a bunker, but you could have easily destroyed that as well. With him on one supply and being forced to defend on two fronts, you'd have it in the bag.
  • Game was set as soon as you got Buses.

Thanks I played great I know
I attack him bottom because I’m lazy and like 6 quads and 6 RPG is enuf to own most nooby armies and it’s true, so many vetted quads in this game but couldn’t get the right position at all and he isn’t that nooby to get wrecked by such a small army although he still trades bad in those small engagements considering my unit composition vs his.
In fairness to him his first dragon delayed me a bit as I didn’t want to lose a quad to it. I know to expect mines didn’t realise I got close enuf to lose the tech.
He should have used hit lotus better, wasted it stealing just a rax and I hunted her immediately. No black napalm was a big mistake and the internet centre I lol’d when I saw that. Look I was sending random tractors in to try find street hackers lol.
But yea his large game deciding engagement vs me was his biggest error not hiding behind infernos, having no dragons and not microing ecms.
As I said there’s plenty of sloppy moments but it was a close game because I allowed it through laziness and stubbornness. It’s one of the games where I exwpect to win with either a tech or a small push but neither worked. Classic example of underestimating an opponents skill level which then requires me to seriously pull my finger out to win.
First palace is 6 mins that slow? To get palace finally took ages cause I cancelled the first incase he got it (he coulda used those dragons better probably)

Really why bother taking oils witth all that money on the map, he has captured it at the start I’m not keen on him having it while I research cap up. I knew eventually I would have control off all supply’s and oils not needed imo. So I will often kill oils if they capture them unless I’m very poor

I didn’t see him building that gatt somehow I saw in the replay it’s an easy kill dozer yep

Some of these mistakes are nooby as hell I know but I kind of like to do things the hard way sometimes, I know buses will wreck this game and they did but I guess I didn’t want to win like that unless forced to. Idk I can’t explain, i think cyborg may understand my logic I see some of his relays where he gives his opponents opportunities like I do. I’m not saying I started this game like smock is shit and it’s ez bash but I was probably pretty confident to get a win and subconsciously I’m testing him? Idk bit theose battles vs his armies, I’m not an idiot I’m trying to over come him with micro but wasn’t really happening. I’m sure he had a fun game anyway, sorry you didn’t win Enock you probably deserved it

Like can I upload games here where my macro and micro is flawless? Nope because it’s a chit game and the opponent gets bashed, what’s the point. Some of my winning games in my mentoring thread will show that, if people judge me based on games like this then they are fooled easy and it’s their mistake. I don’t mind if players think I’m noob, I’m certainly not pro but can give a lot of players a run for their money.

Your too harsh leikeze, all you look at is macro decisions and things like that. You said you rate games on their entertainment but you clearly don’t if you give this 2/10. How’s it not entertaining when a gla went down to one supply and a nuclear missile was within thirty seconds of firing?
I appreciate your input don’t get me wrong but you see things so differently at times, you prefer to see a tox game where I make forty tunnels vs China v? Gee that sounds like a great game, not...
If you were call of duty mw2 player you must have been rocking the ump in every game where as all I played with for two years was a throwing knife, maybe that analogy make you understand my point to some degree (and yea I did do that for two years and had positive k/d ratio with it)

I do rate games based on how entertaining they were to me, entertainment is only a relative opinion after all.

The part on you was meant to sound harsh, because I knew that you are trying to overcome him with as little effort as possible, most people do that against players under 1033 ELO score. Myself included.

The reason to bother taking oils is that they will add to your economy, even in the case that you don't take the rest of the supplies on the map.

You have to understand that orchestrating a game in such a way as to achieve an unnatural course of events (by not trying to win by all means(giving you opponent a chance)), you diminish the actual quality of the game, by removing the sporadic element that keeps a person interested.

Had you really tried to win the whole time, going for the usual tunnel spam, and the middle supplies, and he somehow kept you from getting a Palace, then pushed your tunnels back, took the supplies, and you both had a lot of back and forth action, all topped off with you coming out of the corner with some exceptional Bus micro to stop his Nuke before it launched, then it would be an incredible game.

Whether it comes in the form of toby01 vs touer or -DoMiNaToR- vs Dense, a comeback from underestimation is less exciting than a hard comeback while playing hard on the same level.
