Alan (Toxin) vs Munir (AirForce) on North America

The following quote, by General Kassad, summaries this match quite accurately: "I can't wait for your next attack. General, can we expect it today!?"

  • Good timed Carpet on throughout the match. Wiping most of the units, that were sent on to attack your base.
  • One of the mistakes you did early on, was loosing your Battle-Chinook by engaging in against a couple of quads and a stinger. You could have retreat it, back to base, and use it later on, after killing those few units.
  • Another mistake, on your part, was that - you never used Search n' Destroy command over in your Strategy Center through the entire game. ohmy.gif Having it on would boost the range of your rockvees, you carefully prepared for the final assault.
  • Coming back to your base; You didn't need so much Drop-Zones, as you needed a 2nd Air Filed to pump-up the production of Commanchies. Those flying beasts, alone, could have penetrated the only line of stingers, standing in their way, along side wiping out the quads.
  • Overall: Nicely timed promotions, considering that your enemy wasn't too keen on moving his forces away. However, near the end, you did a similar move by not going back upon seeing an incoming Anthrax Bomb. If that was avoided, you would have saved a total of 9-10 vees, which were just enough to finish this game.

  • Building a stinger in your base was a flawed move, considering that all AirForce's planes are equipped with PDL.
  • You started off with a nice expansion. And it was good smooth up until you've lost the tunnel near cyan's secondary supply. If you've done a second tunnel, just below that 1st one, it would've insured your presence in that area.
  • While you were trying to prevent any kind of expansion of your enemy, you never grouped-upped a suitable army, that was ready to engage both Ground & Air units.
  • When you've got the dozer of his, you didn't have to build a barracks right in his base. Instead, all you needed was to place down a scaffold of a Power Plant in your base (a couple of them, since you had the cash for that), and finalized it with your idle worker, near by. That way, you would have had a faster production.

Another option would have been to place down a scaffold of Air's Command Center, as having, and using, his technology against him would have boosted up your chances of victory.
  • When you had the economical advantage, all you needed, to sustain your position, was buses with RPGs and a Gamma Upgrade. You didn't need such large quantities of quads, as their power is limitless when it comes in dealing against a fast moving units, such as Humvees. You had enough # of tunnels to get a good # of RPGs from. Those filled into buses could've been an unstoppable force.

As a side note: I did see you tried in doing bus tactic as the game progressed, but it was too late at that point. Considering that your map control was slowly deteriorating.
  • Overall: You did a good job at making yourself in-control of most of the territory at the beginning. If only you did more harassment on your opponent by: wiping down his chinooks, terror-teching his WarFactory or the upcoming Airfield, terrorising his 2nd sup with what ever you could, but never get the pressure off. excl.gif

In Conclusion; Despite the level of the players, it was an okay-ish match to observe. If only there was A) More harassment done from both sides to each other, instead of doing a RulPro bunkah m0de, and B) More attention spend to each attacking group, slitting up and killing more units without giving away a valuable XP points. My rating for this game would be: 1.5/10. It wasn't a bash of match, as both wasted an equal amount of time, by being scared of dealing the slightest damage to each other. happy.gif

Heh, not really. tongue.gif If anything, it helped me in formulating my thoughts much better, on a daily basis, since I write in such large quantities.

As for the time the review takes: Eh. I enjoy doing it, just like with mapping. The time I spend on it isn't wasted in my books. smile.gif
