cncHD (Vanilla China) vs -LosT|HeRo^ on Forbidden Takeover v3.
A match-up that had started off as a basic china mirror, turned out to be an intense base-race battle.
Since it's v3 of this map, the train appearance is long gone, which can be both - good and bad.cncHD - (1:45). You didn't have to retreat with that outpost; Driving it by the dragon and all the way to his supplies would've made you the winner, as the dragon couldn't kept up with the speed of your outpost which would made him a slow-moving target you can easily destory.
- A poorly executed move of yours, to send in a bunker lix directly into x3 gats, that were only waiting for it.
- Nicely timed n' placed mines.
- When you had your artillery strike ready, why didn't you use it in-between his WF and supply. Taking out x2 buildings by the price of one, is always a better idea then a singular kill.
- Taking a head-to-head engagements with lixes wasn't worth the shot; Avoiding gats and moving in your lixes through the center, which lacked any of enemies that could've stopped you, would've been a better choice.
- You should've left at least a couple of units inside your base, in-case of an unusual/unexpected maneuver he may have tried to pull off.
- Even after discovering and knowing you have enemies WF inside your base's territory, you still decided to send in the artillery to the supply?! Stopping his production and, therefore, killing the ability of unit spam would've been wiser to do.
Additionally, your units wouldn't have taken too long to reach & destroy his supply; Lix's napalm bomb would obliterate it in a matter of a few minutes - saving you time and nerves.
-LosT|HeRo^ - (3:45). You did the right move in placing down the TNT, but failed to get your tank hunters out of it's range;
An alternative scenario, in such case, would be to evacted the Tank Hunters and send them first, so they would take up the damage from the bunker and then sending in your gats. - Throughout the game you've floated over 8k, which you could've spend on upgrading the chain-guns, to make your gatlins more of an OP weapon, or Auto-loaders for your BMs.
- Going for an Internet Center over the production of the Emperors is a questionable decision.
- Good attempt in sneaking in your remaining dozer to the far upper-right corner. It's like that place was meant to be used in such way.
- (16:08). Willingly driving your units right to their death, caused by the carpet, was a heartbreaking to watch.
- Not selling a dried out supply of yours, which were also severely damaged, was big mistake on your side. The extra $750 would've helped you in making another dragon, which would speed up the process of wrecking his base.
In Conclusion; Golly, the concluding part of this replay was quite an entertaining show to watch. All of the back-n'-forth moves of annihilating the last buildings of one another, and not using a single EMP
was interesting to look at.
I can't say much on the improving part, other then the comments above and maybe the multitasking ability, which wasn't too bad but can be improved overtime.
Based on all that - did I like this? Absolutely! Not everything when smoothly as I supposed, but hey, it was fun.
