-CyborG- (Nuke) vs WheelerWalkerJr (Air) on Melting Snow

A lot of minimalist action, with wasted Vees all around, and an overall poor display of how to abuse the advantages of Air in this MU.

3/10, for my entertainment.

Spoiler
  • O nice, numbering your dozers. Big pro move. thum.gif
  • Taking the middle supply, stopping his first Humvee from rushing in, expanding to a third supply, and stopping & numbering your outpost just as it comes out of the WF, then getting a dragon to save your WF just before imminent destruction, makes me think you are becoming much better than in previous replays. However, you let your Tank Hunters get run over by his dozer on the bottom.
  • Getting a Barrack built in his base was a good idea for a distraction, but it may have worked better to build it outside his line of sight. Nonetheless, it was effective enough. Also, nice one, getting that bomb on his Vee.
  • As for the events taking place back at your base...they were pretty grim, but you managed to trap his Vee with your BM's, destroying it, then managing to rebuild your supply trucks. Then you went to the top of his base with a Gat, just as he started attacking the WF at your top supply, distracting him for just a second long enough that he didn't run from your BM, saving you from defeat.
  • After the aforementioned: You had demoralized him(I suppose), so it made it easy for you to go right through the middle, killing his Vee that was rushing toward you, very unprofessional by him, then you were really in for a good turn around by making some Gats to counter his Combat Chinook. Alas, before you could even get the rewards of rebuilding, and getting a Propaganda Center, his Spectre & A-10 strike came right on in to blow it away. Leaving you in an impoverished state, but you still struck him hard, destroying his whole base, but without your Dozer, which was destroyed by his Spectre, you were not able to build any scaffolds to save yourself a little extra time.

Spoiler
  • What a poor, abusive no-eco strategy: Just make Vees, fill them with MD's, and send them to please. And we both know it didn't please anybody. This MU is in your favor. All you've got to do is play it defensively for a few minutes, trying to harass him, but without losing any units, then, when you've got about three Vees & an Ambo, you can go straight to his base and wreak havoc, whilst continuing to fill Vees back home to defend, and to send in as reinforcements to destroy him. Very simple vs non-pro players.
  • Very poor use of your first Vee. You should have gotten a Battle Drone to repair it, instead of emptying it out into the building like you did. Had you done this, you could have attacked the WF from behind, destroying it, as well as being able to continue on doing damage with it. That one, along with your next Vee+Ambo, could have easily won you the game.
  • When he built that Barrack in your base, your only move should have been sending a Vee to sit in front of it, that would have nullified it, and gotten you promoted from anything he was willing to train from it. But you went an lost a Vee to a TH bomb.
  • Swinging back to his base, you had your Vee and Ambo in there, you'd destroyed his bottom supply, and his Barrack, then you were working on his top supply, but then you went and cowered away from BM's in the worst way, you got yourself trapped. All you had to do was drop an MD above and below the supply dock, then drive your Vee towards his WF from under the dock, whilst LL'cking one, or both of his BM's. Even if he kept chasing the Vee, you could simple drop more MD's to LL his BM's. At any rate, you could have done more damage than you did.
  • Losing your next Vee less than minute later, to a lone BM, without even running, despite you having known his BM was there, showed that you weren't paying enough attention. I could see that you may have been dealing with his Gat at the top, but even so, you should have had that Vee numbered, or at least on your mind, so as not to lose another easy chance to win.
  • And again, you send another Vee to its death in the middle, by not paying enough attention to it(probably not scrolling around quickly to see every event).
  • You decided to keep the trend of wasting units going: Sending in a Combat Chinook, with a Vee, and four MD's inside, and trying to hunt Gats, makes no sense. You should have flown in, destroyed his power, and bottom supply, then dropped off the Vee to do damage with both. Using the C-Chinook as a lethal distraction, whilst going after his Gats with your Vee. Then sending in more Vees to follow up ASAP. Or, you could have destroyed his first Gat, then dropped the Vee out of it, to attack the front of the WF, along with your C-Chinook. You should have known that he would only build another Gat, and that would spell doomed for your already damaged C-Chinook. Had you done this, you also would have easily won. You could call that nitpicking, and say that you wouldn't think of it in the usual situation, but that's why I said it, so it would be in your head for next time.
  • Perfect use of your Gen Powers, especially getting his Dozer with your Spectre.
  • Well done by not engaging his army, in favor of destroying his base instead.
