Review by JarmenElectra
Spoiler
Your mistake was ignoring that settlement by your unsafe supply and going to his base with your vees. Its like on one hand you wanted to tech up to auroras but on the other you were like fck it I want to kick his base right now. Your strat was kinda conflicted in that regard, and the majority of stuff which then went on to screw over your base came from there also.
That Jarmen aslo did a lot of damage, cant believe he escaped that comm. It was strange how when you were there attacking his arms dealer you evaced the vees and jarmen hurt you, you then left the arms at a hole to engage the tunnel and you then lost all that stuff. Even that palace there was empty, I dont think killing that arms or that palace would have made much difefrence at that point but you wasted some units there by being indecisive.
I think if you had played it safe and cleared any settlements around your base before pushing out then you could of won with aurora, vee and comm spam + you might have been able to keep a dozer alive.

-HeRo^ (Demo) vs -CyborG- (SW) on Desolated District

The beginning of this game looked promising for Cyborg, but it soon turned into HeRo's game, because of a poorly carried out attack on the base of HeRo, which saw the loss of Cyborg's whole army, followed by lots of TT's from HeRo, terminating his "indecisive" opponents base, then bleeding him out.

-HeRo^
Spoiler
  • Should have followed up your TT with those RPG's on the bottom, instead of the top. Had you done that, you could have kept a permanent entrance into his base for your other Techs, by denying him the time to rebuild the EMP Turret down there. The amount he'd spent getting all three EMP's cut him short on Vees, so you could just keep going in with more Techs, and tunneling closer to his base, whilst using the RPG's to counter his Vees, and all the while be taking the oils and other supplies at your leisure. Instead, you wasted many, many techs, and expanded not one iota until near the end. Could have been a 6 - 8 minute game.

-CyborG-
Spoiler
  • Tough strategy to pull off, but a good one against this opponent. You went and carried it out as well as you could, but I suggest you work a bit more on your expansion, you could have started collecting from the middle supplies, and tried to take the oils, all while keeping him at bay with everything you had. Playing the defensive in this MU is very profitable for SW.
  • Going for Aurora's was a good idea that really helped you out, however, you should have made sure he didn't retake anything he had lost, because in this game, he retook more than he lost. Never go for Comanches as SW, it is $200 more for an Aurora, which is far better. Around the time you were to attack his base, instead of losing your whole army, you should have turned it around to run from his Tech army, then just harassed his base, instead of going for such a risky move.
  • The reason you want to play defensive in this MU(if you did this start), is because of how powerful you will become once you are promoted to 3 star and on. If you can get to 3 star, and haven't allowed him to hold any significant map control, you'll have an easy time winning the late game, as you can easily hunt any markets he has with your powers, and using Auroras and Vees to hunt his tunnels can be a breeze.
