ukFiReSToRm(Laser) vs denmark-BiG^SiZe^(Stealth)

Here is a tough game between the two best Zero Hour players during the last months of the game. The Match up adds to the excitement as we all know that Stealth is a proficient killer of nearly anybody when it is controlled by the best of the best(SiZe), but then again, Laser can be equally devastating in the right hands; And seen here is two players going full force 110%. (H2H Stats: LoGica vs -BiG^SiZe^ 128/195 Total games: 323 Win Rate: 40%)

Comments on FiReSToRm:
  • Your first Dozer drop was semi-successful; While you denied him from collecting any supplies for nearly a minute, and stole $600 with your Chinook, you weren't able to run down many Workers, so his collection wasn't hindered much at all, and it cost a Dozer. Your other Dozer wasn't well boxed in, and could have been destroyed along with your WF & Supply with a TT from the top down.
  • Nice denial of his left supply with your empty Humvee, but it is too bad you didn't have just one MD inside, so you could drop him off at the Bunker to protect the Humvee from his Technicals, none the less, $1,000 for $1,200 in Workers+time not collecting, and he didn't get any scrap up.
  • It is very tough to defend against someone trying to overwhelm you with Technicals when you aren't able to spam Humvees quickly, and cannot do any damage to his base, or map control, leaving him pressure free while you try to hold on and build up, but thanks to some very good micro, the game making Technicals fire at all different targets instead of just one, and mostly the Drones on your Humvees/Ambo, you managed to break the advantage he was trying to push on you.
  • Going down the side and distracting him whilst pushing your Humvee advantage was a very good move, somewhat of a deciding one, as he was building up at that time, and you going in stymied this action by him for the time being; You did especially great damage by destroying his AD, which as we all know is the single most important building GLA has, without it they can do nothing against you at all.
  • The attack down the middle and subsequently trying to clear him away from the supply there looked promising, but it did more destroying Technicals than anything else, which gets you promoted, but doesn't help you take map control away, and at the same time your own supplies were about to dwindle away.
  • Defending your right supply again from his waves of Technicals seemed almost easy.
  • Perfect A-10 strike, destroying both AD's meant that you could attack his base head on with no fear of him following up with any Techs in his defense.
  • Overall: Strong defense coupled with well calculated attacks resulted in you having mostly one-sided battles for the most part, helping you out a lot in this game. Taking a lot of care to keep him at bay from harassing your supplies and constantly hitting his AD's were the deciding factors in this game.

Comments on -BiG^SiZe^:
  • Good run with the Workers, stretching their legs early on in the game running from a Dozer, and you trained them so well that only three got run over, along with an unfortunate RPG Trooper.
  • Ah, it's too bad you didn't get your TT up around the top of his base, then you could have gone right down into his boxed in Dozer, destroying the WF+Supply & Dozer all at once, then "gg", but at least you followed up with a very desolating wave of Technicals to harass his supplies and base, really putting him under stress as you kept on pumping them up to his base, then picking off anything you could before running away.
  • You really should have gone for the oils early on when you had the $1,300 to do so; That and having a follow up TT to get his WF when you were going to all-in his Humvees with your Tech-army.
  • Your back and forth harassment wasn't complimented well by your use of Quads here, since the didn't get to fire on his Chinooks much at all, being as how you didn't attack on both sides at once(Techs on one side with Quad, and a Quad up the other side as well).
  • Holding off against his Humvees may have been easy, had you a Demo Trap behind you supply on the right side, but that is easy to say while watching the replay, as for the case in point, it was a bit of bad popping before he was to your base that allowed him to do so much damage with his two Humvees and Ambo.
  • Keeping him at bay from destroying your supply and hold of the middle was successful, although you suffered many losses during the conflict, it did turn out well for you.
  • So many lost Technicals for so few destroyed Humvees while attacking that right supply; Why harass it when you can just TT it in four seconds? Then you could harass the other supply.
  • Danger days when your AD's were destroyed, even getting them up quickly wouldn't help if he got through your defenses with Humvees by that point, and a bad pop wouldn't help; It is just too much for GLA's to handle.
  • Overall: You waited too long to get a Palace, which wasn't helped by you having never captured the oils that you held for the entire game; These items along with how you didn't try for more TT's at certain points in the game was a sad thing to see, as these things may have helped a lot; Regardless, one game is not telling of one's full potential.

I will give this game a 7.7/10 for my entertainment, and would recommend it for a Wub.
