I played pretty much 2v2's tonight and this was the best of them imo, unusual matchup and some comebacks. I watched it and I couldnt really see major mistakes, we all microed pretty good, good gp useage and some very nice aka annoying jarmen useage. We all had some problems with our economy after a while so it became pretty interesting because micro and general points became very important.
[P]eaNuT - Innovative GLA play like usual with early game terrorist spam, upfront arms dealer and demo traps. I like the way you use terrorists in games as it stops offensive enemy GLA tunnels and it delays china economy - just a shame it does near nothing vs USA
Your timing for teching up was perfect as you had those buggies when it really mattered and your overall unit micro was good.
Improvements - You played very well this game considering the armies and I cant think of many ways to improve your play. Perhaps you should have got the fortified structures upgrade vs enemy gen abilities since its only $1000. You could have also paid more attention to your buggies at times as we all know they can be a little crazy !
TheDoctor - I felt a little sorry for you getting the same army as Peanut as it really limits what you can achieve as a team. Your build order was a standard GLA BO with arms dealer and rax sealing primary supplies and this paid off vs Nuke BM's You did well with the marauders but as always humvees are somewhat of a pest to take out. You teched up fast yet you didnt establish a secondary economy quick enough to compete with your opponents
Improvements - Try to play a little more aggresively with GLA e.g. attack those open supply trucks china had whilst building a tunnel on the flank at the same time Also be sure to give your ally a tunnel regardless of army (but especially in the case of dual GLA)
Teamwork - With a match-up like this teamwork is crucial on GLA's part! Peanut did well by giving doc tunnels although doc failed to return the favour Peanut was able to back doc up from overlords with his buggies and jarmen whilst doc wasnt able to support peanut when the helixes came into action. Getting each other tunnels is an important rule of double GLA and I'm sure you'll sort it out next time Another thing I suggest is to coordinate a double-attack on the USA using TT's or Tech RPG's. That way the tech RPGs can also be used against the china in truck/dozer hunting
Benni_77 & Evry1^
Benni_77 - You played well this game and you mixed well after an early humvee spam Your build order was sturdy and you got your secondary economy going quickly although I think you should have rebuilt your CC sooner than you did to help out with scans etc. Your micro was great, your awareness was great and your attacks were well timed
Improvements - One of the things many people fail to do as USA is to buy the Advanced training upgrade. With the economy you had there is no excuse for not getting this important upgrade! Another suggestion more specific to this matchup is to ranger drop. Ranger drops are a great way of stopping tunnels and delaying GLA supplies (via combat drop)
Evry1^ - With the army you had I knew you werent going to have much trouble I liked how you built a rax and red guards to counter early workers, closely followed by BM's at both enemy secondary supplies. You teched up quickly with overlords but soon realised the 2xJarmen was a problem so you focused mainly on helixes Map awareness was good (outposts/lotus) and micro was good too with only one major slip up (the helix !!)
Improvements - You did everything a good nuke player would do in that situation and I cant think of anything major you missed out
Teamwork - You had quite a large advantage with armies like those but this didnt stop you maintaining consistant teamwork throughout. If Benni had done a ranger drop on both primary supplies whilst Evry1 got the secondary sups using BM's, their economies would have been totally cripled There were one or two points where Evry1 went in alone when he shouldnt have but other than that you played very well together.
Overview
A nice replay with some truely entertaining skirmishes. The abrupt ending let me down a little so I rate this:
7/10
