Can anyone give me some help on an aggressive GDI players strat.

I play WAY better. I had just played like 5 games so I was slowing down, my micro wasn't great and I sure don't know what I was doing sending it to his blue tiberium, showing I am agressive, but as soon as the Surveyor got there I realized that he must have his own stuff up. Tried to make the best of a bad situation.

I think that really crippled me, but I would like to know what I can do (aside from the aircraft I used) to kill them!!!

Oh and I was like damn, they were so clumped together, 1 orca strike and GG! laugh.gif

Overview
A short and very slow game. Neither player played aggressively at all and it was basically just spam from the Nod player (though given the circumstances, there wouldn't have been anything more efficient). In general, the GDI player's economy was very weak compared to the Nod players, and he expanded the wrong tiberium field early on. GDI's surveyor is slower than Nod's Emissary so try to get to the opposing player's blue tiberium field before he does just won't work.

The killer here was the weak economy. You only had a couple of harvesters at one tiberium field while your opponent had his main plus blue tiberium. Blue tiberium brings in double cash in the same amount of time so it's very valuable. It's difficult to say what else you could have done. You were simply outspent. However your opponent would have made it easy to get a better economy since he didn't attack at all until he was fully teched up with lasers. As a side note, starting with a crane was the right thing to do.
    Tips for improvement
  • Expand to your blue tiberium field right away. Build a surveyor the instant the game starts and send it there and deploy it. Place your third or fourth refinery there. The other refineries should be at your main.
  • Don't attack with APCs early on. They're totally pointless against anything except air units and infantry.

UVImpaler
Good economic start, but should have started with a crane to help build refineries and WFs at the same time. Overall it was silly for him to wait until he had lasers before attacking. Massing 20 scorps before attacking is just a bad idea.
    Tips for improvement
  • Start with a crane. It's always a good idea on that map.
  • Expand to the middle tib field by base crawling with power plants and WFs so you can start getting a better economy towards mid game
  • Don't limit yourself to 2 WFs. You should have 4 or 5 if you truely want to spam scorpions. But again, make sure you have the economy to support this.
  • Less turtling. There's no need for so many defenses.

Thanks. Yeah, it wasn't my best game ever and I'm using more on top of things, and trying the Surveyor rush was just stupid.
