Yeah, my strat was to get my APC/Rocket troops pumping... This seems to be the best combination early game... APCs own infantry, and the rocket combo own buildings and vehicles... nuff said.

If I had used the Pred. Tank, I wouldn't have survived the first assault.

Overview
A short, relatively one-sided game between two players that used single queue build orders to start the game. GDI's early strategy was a fast expansion to the middle with a surveyor, while scrin went for a fast tibspike grab. Scrin have a natural advantage on this map because of the speed and lethality of the buzzers, but specifically because they can clear the garrisons that are present at the ends of the bridges. Scrin will ALWAYS grab the tib spike on this map. The game was basically decided by the fact that the GDI player expanded his economy into the middle, and the Scrin player did not. This allowed the GDI player to tech up and simply overpower his opponent.

Overall n00bert demonstrated a decent understanding of expansion strategy although his method of expansion was a bit odd. Sending a surveyor to the exact middle is not a good idea. It makes it too vulnerable to a fast barracks strategy as was demonstrated in this replay. He BARELY got his WF up before the surveyor was killed and under any other circumstances, it wouldn't have made it. The other major problem was a weak economy. Although stronger than his opponent's, it was still no where near what it should have been. APCs + Rocket soldiers are also not as efficient as predator tanks and a couple of APCs mixed in for anti-infantry purposes. He quite literally could have won sooner had you just made predators.
    Tips for improvement
  • Never send a surveyor across the bridge. Simply send it to the south or north (preferably south as you have neutral structures that can be captured)
  • It's usually best to start with a crane. It allows you to build a stronger economy while making warfactories and other structures
  • Don't use rocket soldiers + ACPs, predators are simply better
  • Use the D key to reverse move the APCs. They were often retreating and exposing their weak rear armor which makes them die faster
  • Send a unit or two to scout the north half of the map in case he had built an expansion there

Linkdeath0 really hurt himself with his economy. Despite controlling the tibspike in the middle, there's no way a single refinery could support him in a game like this. A faster expansion to the north after he releasized his opponent had gone south would have helped him. In general there wasn't much he could have done. He just didn't have the money.
    Tips for improvement
  • Make more refineries. Even build a crane after building a barracks to help give you a second queue. Then expand
  • Try and harass more. Send seekers into the north part of his base to harass his main economy. Since his WF was south and away from his base, it would have been harder to defend

I'm not sure, I find that simply using tanks and some combos for assaults works better than having 2 pb's for 1 combo, you might as well have 2 wf's imo.

I might be wrong though.

hmm. what do you mean by "pb's"? I'm assuming that 2wf's would refer to 2 war factories... I haven't tried that strat in this game yet. It could prove effective. I used that strat in Gens / Gens Zero Hour though.

Filling the APC's is too much micro tongue.gif and they are still too weak, but they can handle infantry, tanks and air so it one of the safest strats.
