Canada_Rap vs JimC ("Shutting Down")

Replays: 50 Game:
The burden to defend NOD continues.
========================

Many of the old GDI scum veterans are no more playing. Some of them lost interest and ceased from any activity. Some others have been defeated, bashed, outcast by this society after being recognized as overpower GDI abusers and stopped feeding from any community acknowledgement for their cheap and obvious "GDI accomplishments".

It may be safe to say that the rate of exploiting the GDI bonuses across all tier spectrum is reduced lately due to new GDI players and some average GDI audience.
Furthermore, some old veteran players has undertaken a major change in their preferences. They realized finally that the GDI way is the cheap way. They stopped being excited from using an overpowered army and progressed to noble way - the NOD way for a prestige and a costly victory, and sometimes an impossible victory.

Despite all of the above, a new rise of GDI scums students are worshipping the overpowered potential of the GDI faction. They show off GDI replays of all kinds. They try to attract attention about how cunning their Hunter tanks are to deny the NOD crystals. How they can transport medium vehicles from all GDI houses (Hunter, Shepherd and Spartan) slightly faster than the NOD houses. How they can land engies killing a cluster of NOD engies in an instant thanks to 20 Support Points only. How they land Mine-Drops killing big clusters of Venoms and all of it in Tier-1 already! How they uncover NOD stealth too easily with major radius detections making deployment of effective stealth impossible.

This is all without mentioning the GDI rocket paradise. 3 units of the GDI Support fleet alone counter the NOD Cobras and Scalpels. Among the 3 rocket-paradise GDI support fleet units, 2 of them are equipped with additional weapons to counter different NOD armors at the same time.

It means that without any explicit intention, the GDI player will likely to have a good response to Cobras and Scalpels across all game (and more NOD armor types at the same time).

This is alone without adding the Sandstorms with their area-damage to make sure Cobras and Scalpels will be escaping and avoiding all game.

And I don't even plan to talk about the sinister GDI defense Crystal Shield, backed up with a tutorial that explains how to exploit this overpower option completely.
Therefore those GDIs will be shut-down from time to time.
Without (or with) any regard to the text above I hereby give you what happens when JimC meets Canada_Rap on Afflicted Arena.
JimC, you have reached the tower , you can not proceed further.

Pay attention, GDI > NOD. If you are looking for an accomplishment, turn back and take the NOD way. A NOD victroy is a heroic victory, a prestige victory. It requires way more skill than playing with GDI.

Take the NOD way. Don't become a fallen-angel.

I have a few points about this replay after I watched through Canada_Rap's eyes.

1. I was happy to see Canada_Rap contesting first the northern Green crystal since it drops early and equally close to NOD, GDI Deploy-Zones. Therefore it is likely to be contested first.

2. It's wrong to acquire the enemy's backyard-uplink, so early. Furthermore, letting one of the very first units go there just means you will have one less unit to contest one of the Blue crystals in time. I felt a little relieved to see Canada_Rap stealing the enemy's Green, however I was still uncomfortable with this move knowing he is loosing the blues.

There must be some tactic - maybe Engies and Bunkers involved - to make the Blue crystal district in the center a safer place for the NOD tanks...

3. It is a very good experience to send 2 engies and deploy them constantly on the bunkers controlling the northern TCN node. It will spare you some macro. And it makes you feel great to let GDIs struggling to destroy a reinforced armor Bunker with Tier-1 weapons only...

4. Canada_Rap did good in my taste to make use of some stealth in this huge map...

5. A word for the GDI player: It is wrong to dare contest the T3 NOD Offense crawler in such a short distance. The Laser-Turret and the Blast-Weapon on the back of a T3 NOD Offense will tear apart a Tier-2 GDI Offense. The loosing of the GDI Offense back there was your downfall.. you lost the map after it and you were no longer effective with mainly an air-force only.

In general, I would say Affilacted Arena makes room for more macro then micro since it's a huge map. All the terrain in the map is playable (except the factions Deploy-Zones) unlike other maps where main fighting is pressed in a limited terrain.
A map, like this, that makes more room for macro, makes NOD stealth units, Stealth Tank and especially the Specter in T3 very good choice effective stealth deployment.
Remember, the smaller the map, the easier for GDIs to uncover it easily with major detections radiuses in a limited terrain. The bigger the map, the harder for GDIs to uncover it.
By the way, The GDIs hate this map. In 1v1 they avoid it in particular because they are required for more macro skills then their usual kill-points game. It requires GDIs to really hunt NOD, and make a sweat for the kill. This is the way it meant to be, but too many times, not what happens.

are you actually serious?!?!? nod tier is op to shit lol hit tech 3 nod and you win a 1vs1 its a toguher challenge for gdi with weaker tanks to actually stop that. ever had hunters attack a none moving avenger wall?

gdi abusers lmao youve been drinking too much of what asafb was drinking lol

they are certainly closer (gdi and nod) than you think one is powerful at the beginning of a game the other at the end? gdi abusers????? how the f uck wud you play against nod without gdi????????? or do you expect a nod vs nod?

nod tech three is superior and in a 20-30 min match in 1vs1 it is obvious your gettin tech 3

hunting nod is especially hard after tier2 with stealth abilities
just think how many games have you won with nod maybe 80-90% but with gdi 60-70%

just stop with this crazy idea that anyone who plays gdi is abuser because how the f uck wud you actually play a nod playing player???!?!?!?! without it impossible so your theory iss wrong. nod vs nod cant happen and if your on nod who will you play?

also dont come back with "oh but the gdi tank rush and spanners blah blah" what about chasing shadows (anything stealth) hijackers and engineers in bunkers for 25mins lol
each team has its possibilities in different areas ..... gdi agression ... nod passivity and macro stop trying to compare THE ONLY 2 RACES YOU CAN PLAY or you will soon run out of "gdi abusers" because if your nod i dont want to be accused of being a gdi abuser after the game lol.
So clearly every good player at 1vs1 can play with both teams?!?!have you ever played a 1vs1 as GDI? .... YOU GOD DAM ABUSER LOL see how hilarious it sounds!

asafb used to say i was one which is hilarious considering fimz played about 1000 more games on nod. so dont bother.

hunter rush = abuser? so wat do you want me to rush with wolves or buggies? or just not build until tier 2 ? in which straight away nod has the advantage due to stealth........

WAKE UP YOU TOO OR YOU WILL RUIN THE 1VS1 SCENE which tbh is poor anyway now.....

GDI ABUSER LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL theres only 2 teams in the game hahahaha and your on nod then how will i play you hahahaha
