[2.02 v8] Edit ini files not working

Hi !

I want to edit gamedata.ini using Finalbig to make my units cheaper for the campaign but it's not working

I tried to edit EACH gamedata.ini of each patchs, still not working, units cost still the same

However, i'm able to edit gamedata.ini of 1.09 patch from BFME II

Can someone help me ? Thanks

Don't edit the .ini file. Extract the gamedata.ini from the most recent patch using FinalBig, then make a new .big file and import it into that. Modify the gamedata.ini in your new .big file. Name your new .big file something like "###########changes.big". Make sure you have at least one more hash at the front of your file name than the v8.00 patch, so that it is above the v8.00 .big file in your BFME2/EP1 folder.

Having the hashes at the front of the name means the game will read the information from your file rather than the v8.00 patch, and then look for information not included in the next file (v8.00). Using your own .big file will mean you can find all files you have altered without having to scroll past the files you haven't modified. Also means if you change something and it causes a crash, you can relatively easily track down what changes you made that may have caused it.
