I am willing to put a once in a lifetime tournament up. At least I should still have some contacts.
I'm certainly old school but not really good.
The participation in tournament really changes. Sometimes there are 20+ and sometimes 4. Also depends on the kind of tournament. Ladderwars are pretty much dead. The last tournament had 15 players: https://www.gamereplays.org/redalert3/porta...-ftw-53-streams
But yeah, maybe you can get people from the UF gathered and have them play. Pretty sure Latex could be convinced.
I consider myself one of the older-school players given I’ve been playing competitively since 2010 (longer than most current players), but it sounds like your era was before mine even
Aside from zokker, Das.Duelon, and YuiYui, I can’t think of any other competitive players that are still active who were around before I was.
I think all of us would be open for a big tournament though, especially since RA3’s 10th anniversary is coming up. I would definitely recommend contacting Inspector RaGe aka RaGe_Of_HeAt if you want to try coordinating something
As you probably noticed, old vs new tournament not really likely, but if you can find some other old schoolers to come back, anything is possible. At the very least some nice All Map Challenges.
If you have any other ideas, I'm always open to suggestions.
And of course there will be a 10th Anniversary event, a BIG event.
