Hopefully it's more than just a small visual upgrade like broodwar remastered though.

Need to modernize hotkeys (like in cnc3 f keys to build units/buildings etc).
Unit stances proper attack move etc.

Woulda been more excited for a remake though... like what they're doing with Resident Evil 2 right now - make it look like an actual modern game.

This could be huge, but at the same time, we've been fooled before by EA.

Exactly. Just slightly refreshing the graphics would be a waste of time tbh. RE2 is the perfect example of how to correctly remaster a game. Same old feel, yet new, keeping the staples, and packaging it into a brand spanking new package, that's modern and visually stunning.

I'm excited to see what they are cooking.

At this point it's much safer for them to remaster a game(s) that people already love rather than making something new that people might not like, this is a good first step to potentially having a new game somewhere in the future. Remastered 1st decade games wont be that bad anyway, I have faith they might do it properly.

It will be either RA2 or Generals: ZH. With new hotkeys, Flak cannon + engineer will be the way to go.

This. A well made remake would be more than worth the money. Doom 2016 was an awesome game (btw if someone haven't tried it yet, give it a go) and I'm looking forward for RE2 remake. Hopefully we'll see something similar in terms of C&C.

The original C&C or Tib Sun remaster to bring it up to modern standards would be pretty slick man.

Nobody is going to want to tread on the toes of OpenRA though. They have done some excellent work already and there is no point in trying to better that.
