According to the developers, the mod is going to be released soon, so if you can't wait to play as the Soviets or the Ostheer, its only a short time away!
Eastern Front developers are testing the mod to eliminate bugs and prepare it for release, by having beta trials, which have started last Saturday, the 17th of October. It is only accessible by a select few of beta testers, so for the rest of us, its only a short amount of time.
Company of Heroes players, stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed. If we are lucky, Eastern Front will be a great present this Christmas!

Only the soviet faction has finished. The Ostheer hasn't even been started at.
I have been following this mod for about a week now, and I have to say it looks incredible! I'm glad I never bought ToV, now I can give my $30 to these guys instead.
This looks awesome, although with such a large amount of soldiers in the consripts squad it'll be extremely hard for them to dodge any mg42 fire to avoid getting suppressed.
If Relic wont make an EF expansion, I'll quit palying CoH and I believe that many others will follow me.
Does anyone know what relic is developing at this time? I would love to play as a russian conscript. thing is I don't like mod's. Although this one looks very nice!

Huge difference between Soviets and Russians.
Conscripts were not only Russian, but from all of the millions of people from post-Soviet nations which contributed to the war just as much, if not more than Russia. They were on the front of the German invasion. As you might already know, Stalin was Georgian himself, not Russian.
This mod looks really great!! I cant wait for it to be released!! The best thing about it imo is that they are releasing it as an "expansion" of the original coh so that everything else from the game stays as it is and you can load the game using the EF shortcut all of the time even if you want to play EF or just original coh ToV match ups.
It would be lovely if this mod was to be official by relic....

Like I said once or twice... If Relic won't continue on making WWII sequels expansions for CoH, one day I will have enough of playing it. Others will follow my decision and Relic will go bankrupt.

Agree. Especially the Katyushas, which were a nasty artillery to the nazis.
