I was wondering, what are some of the things, nuances in high-level TW that matter/can potentially decide the game that many people are not aware of? The nuances that distinguish a high mid from a pro?

Spotting bugged harvs is a good habit. I know some players can also spot their opponents faction through the shroud, but this is considered a dark art by most.

Watching bike-RUsh+ownz+ play TW recently, I've noticed that if he is Nod or GDI and plays against a Scrin faction, he first forces the opponent to use phase field or waits until they use it and only after phase field has been used he does mass infantry transitions. Since phase field has been used opponent cannot phase any units like Gunwalkers or Tripods to crush infantry in that case.
