Mines resilient to fort towers?!

So I've just come out of a game where I wanted to make a guy blow up his own fort by bringing up the mines to his fort. I could swear I saw at least 3 hits from the tower, yet it wouldn't go off. Eventually I had to set it off by a dragonstrike, which was admittedly more stylish but the point stands. A mine is not supposed to go off at first touch of fire?

Note: Yes, it was upgraded. I'm not a moron.

Afaik they have an arrow dodge rate that allows them to not explode from Fortress fire, and they only ever explode when the Fort Fire arrow deals the finishing "blow" on the mine. huehuehue
