Anyway, we've already had this discussion many times before. Old experts / pros would be just as good now as they were then if given the same conditions either way around.
Old pros would probably win on td but be behind on others maps until they catch up.
It takes expert players just a few games on a map to have it flushed out, especially with how straight forward mirrored-base maps are.
By the way, here's a very old list of top players. Spalding mostly approved it at the time,

Id only give thor a higher rating ( 3 or 4) because unless youve tried playing vusa yourself at top level you wont see how much hard work he put into it as it's easily the most micro intense side there is. I also dont agree with a hacker being in TOP 10 but I dont want to drag this off topic .

Never watched a replay from 2003
I don't have any from the time on file, but I'm sure somebody like MrX would.
And there should be some pretty old replays on CW.cc as attachments.

That sounds wrong, I played a bit in 2007-2008 and I was on a nowadays "low semi level" but could win a few games against some of the big players if I was lucky at time.

What part of what you just said in reply to what I said makes what I said wrong?
Zero Hour was released in late 2003, almost 2004? It is not only about BO, but also about micro and knowledge. Today there are still many players and they aren't Experts. Why? A simple example is Spalding He doesn't play the longest of all. Why are players losing to him today? ^^ He is like level skill from 2003+
old experts would just adapt very quickly, the modern player would just teach the older players the meta and the experts would adapt and win after probably 1-2 games. That's what makes them expert, superior micro, intelligence, macro, builds
Anyone in contact with old experts like Apollo, blind and karro? Is there even a small possiblity of their comeback?
Heard Google was contact with Blind, but not sure if real info. I don't think Apollio will play Zero Hour, he was commentator in SC2, Audi comeback few games and he quit Zero Hour because meta change.
So if You want that old pros comeback, maybe we will need CCG2 or something like that.
Interesting to see if the skill level back then was higher.
