It took a while, but the paint battle is about to start. Get your brushes, get your paint, and get ready!
The first round is a group stage, the 14 participants are divided into 3 groups. From each group, the last 2 players are eliminated (challonge doesn't give this option). Players play each other once, with a fixed set of 6 games.
The first player will pick the first match, a mirror on a map of his choice. The second match is picked by the other player, this has to be a nonmirror and has to be reversed (match 2 and 3). After this, the first player picks a nonmirror (also be reversed) and the last game is another mirror, picked by the second player.
Match 1: mirror, MU and map picked by player 1 Match 2 + 3: nonmirror, MU and map picked by player 2 Match 4 + 5: nonmirror, MU and map picked by player 1 Match 6: mirror, MU and map picked by player 2
So each player picks 1 mirror and 1 nonmirror (has to be reversed). Each won game is 1 point, players with most points go ahead into the KO stage. If 2 players have an equal score, the next thing that will be looked into will be the number of set won. After this the match vs each other plays a role. If the score is still even, the points from both players vs the number last in the group will be removed. If the score is still even, the score against the #4 also won't be taken into account. If the score is still even, a quick BO3 will be played to decide who will go through.
The groups Group A: Vivid, Roll, Peace Lover, Marakar Group B: Hsn'Leb, Excal, Logica, Firelord Group C: Moliere, Exile, StaZzz, Dominator
This order is used for deciding who picks the first match.
The KO phase Quarterfinals and semifinals are a BO7, the finals are a BO9
So, at is not clear to everyone (cough Excal), a player picks both the MU and the map.
Match 1: quarterfinals starts with a Demo mirror on Liquid Gold Match 2 + 3: the loser picks the next MU and map which has to be a nonmirror (+ reversed) Match 4 + 5: picked by the other player, also a nonmirror Match 6: the player who is behind in score picks the next match: a mirror Match 7: picked by the other player, this has to be a mirror too
Match 1: semifinals starts with a Tox mirror on Desolated District Match 2 + 3: the loser picks the next MU which has to be a nonmirror (+ reversed) Match 4 + 5: picked by the other player, also a nonmirror Match 6: the player who is behind in score picks match 6: a mirror Match 7: picked by the other player, this has to be a mirror too
Match 1: the finals starts with a GLA mirror on Make Make Match 2: picked by the loser of match 1, has to be a mirror Match 3: other player picks match #3: also a mirror Match 4 + 5: the player that is behind in score picks the next MU, a nonmirror (has to be reversed) Match 6 and 7: picked by the other player, also a nonmirror Match 8 + 9: player that is behind in score picks the last MU, a nonmirror

Standard tournament rules apply. If a dc/mm happens and the players cannot agree on an outcome, the match has to be replayed. The replayed match and the dc/mm match has to be uploaded where it will be checked if a player was (far) ahead in the first match. If that is the case, this match will count.

Wow, rules seems complicated, I though we just had to play gla v mirror with power every game xD
20 gmt with one day notice works for me. I can play earlier sometime if needed.
You know I make only complicated formats
QUOTE(ROLL @ Jul 8 2021, 16:12 PM)
the no mirror from other GLA's right ?
Nonmirrors can be any paint mirror where both armies has to be GLA or a subfaction (tox, demo, stealth) Mirrors are GLA-GLA, tox-tox, demo-demo and stealth-stealth.
nah im working til 17 gmt on weekdays sorry after 17 gmt weekdays and weekend generally anytime with notice is good. 12:30 GMT saturday i cant tho as already got games
sorry i forgot also tonight i have strangelands tournament already, starting at 19 gmt. So probs cannot tonight unless u are still online after my games for that tournament.
As Wraith pointed out, the map Make Make wasn't visible in the game. This was because the name of the map was different than the name of the folder it was in. You can change the name of the folder to GLA Make Make 2 ZH v4 (the v4 behind it was missing). The map file has also been updated with the correct name.
Also saw that more maps have different names than the folder it is placed in, if you don't see all maps (12 in total), check if this is the problem. V3 shouldn't have this issue anymore.
Tbh there is a slight flaw with this round robin format, players who really wanna win have everything to gain by delaying their game and wait for their opponents to play first in order to watch their reps.
