Yo, comrades

I've noticed that frequent streamers like Google or Domi use background music in their vids a lot
How do you guys avoid being banned by YouTube for copyright issues? I'm planning to upload some videos of my own (not on ZH though) so decided to ask experienced users smile.gif

Cheers

I did it just that Way, if i am not sure about the Music.
First i upload a Musictest Video. For Example:
I take just an Image put the Music into it and save it as a Video than upload it.
Than go to Creator Studio and look if it's locked worldwide or if it's just some Copyright. If it's locked than forget about this Music.
If it's just Copyrighted that's no Problem at the Moment.
But in nearer Future everything about Music and Uploads can be a big Problem because of new Laws in which Youtube and other Platforms are commited to search and lock copyrighted Files.

I think Domi had a donation target which was to aquire a license to play some specific music? I think it was Domi

BTW youtube automatically detects copyright infringments by beats per minute, so if you just open a track in audacity and adjust the BPM a tiny amount it will by-pass that auto detection without changing how the song sounds. But its pointless anyway because if someone flags you then you will get striked down
So yea royalty free music, or you can buy some kind of music pack

for my channel I only use USA music and some custom music for which I bought a user licence to use the music without problems.

For example from Stefan Harth:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRMDPezXlhmCcmh94EhZhtw

GLA Music will get you 100 % copyright flags if you have the music too loud. China music will also cause problems, but not as often as GLA Music.

just use this channel

If someone calls his Channel "Music without Copyright" doesn't mean much.
His Selection including Works from several Artists, how can the Channelowner be sure it's not Copyrighted ?
Nearly everything is copyrighted.
It's all about intellectual Property that make a Song, or whatever, copyrighted.

For my youtube videos (not xezon0) I typically use
https://www.epidemicsound.com

You pay like 13 EUR per month and can use unlimited amount of songs from their library.
