Why buildings were so squishyto everything in bfme2? What was the EALA developers intention with this? In the addon they made buildings more resistant against certain damage types.

The intention is to keep the game interesting and fast paced. Bfme2, compared to other games such as age of empires has a more restricted selection of units/buildings and economy management. It compensates this with faster paced, higher micro scenarios. Having structures take forever to destroy promotes camping and will easily make some factions underpowered. But as I said, bfme2 isn't that much fun if you're just camping/turtling. Besides, each building has a certain armor type that makes it stronger vs certain damage types and weaker to others (farms are weak to swordsmen mostly, production buildings to pikes and cavalry)

yeah bfme2 is a lot faster than aoe and bfme1. smile.gif Only one resource and only units and heroes, its a mere fighting game and the expansion of bfme1 everything in bigger faster and better. (The addon aswell). Thats what I like about it.

And in version 2.00 and 2.01 still for parts of ROTWK the EA developers did nerv close combat melee units,by making RB`s more robust, made them slower attack speed(mainly tons new elite inf units (black orcs, black numenorians, halftroll swordsmen), smaller batallions(guardians, LW`s) and for some base fighters (uruks, gondor soldiers) even slower movement speed. wtf, why? were tons of players complaining about them too strong because buildings were going down so fast, so because of this they nerved melee units in the vanilla version of the rotwk addon?
