The annual LAN event is coming back. From the 11th to the 13th of October the Zero Hour Lan Event will take place once again. This year, the event will be hosted at the Wellness Fletcher Hotel te Leiden (the Netherlands).
Book your tickets on the website of the Community Outpost. Until the end of this month, you will receive an early bird discount. For more information, visit the website or join the Discord.
The main tournament of the LAN is a big Free For All Tournament. As a teaser, we will organize an online version of this tournament that anyone can join with a prize pool of $300. With the 7 selected streamers (all streamers have visited the LAN event at least once), we have found 7 enthusiasts that try their best to convince you to visit the upcoming LAN event by sharing their experiences whilst casting the epic battles. See below for more details. If you have any questions, you can ask them either in this topic, in the discord server or message me in private.
Ps. if you don't want to miss out on any LAN action, subscribe to the Community Outpost.
In this server, you have to pick the role for Ping for New Tournaments/Events and Ping for Announcements. See the picture below. With these roles, you will be able to see the channel FFA-tournament. Announcements about this tournament will be posted here. You get also the opportunity to join the several sets in round 1 in this channel.
Each set will be open to join for a few days, this will be announced beforehands. There are 7 spots to fulfill, players will be selected randomly. However, known players will take priority over unknowns. This to have some sort of decent level and to avoid the keeps cc as gla and gift army and a free spot to others type of players.
The selected players will be made aware one day prior. There will also be backup players in case of a no show. If a player is awol a few minutes before the start of the set, he will risk of getting replaced.
A player that does not show up (in time) will also be rejected for future sets, so join if you are sure you can make it or face the consequences.
Format
The tournament consist of 2 rounds. Round 1 will have 7 sets of 7 players, round 2 will be the finals and consist the winners of each set in round 1.
Each set will have 5 games.
The first game will be a mirror, this game will also be used as decider in case players are tied for first place. In that case, player that had the highest rank in the first game will win the set.
Round 1 will be a point format, with points per kill and points for finishing in the top 3.
First kill will be granted with 3 points, the second kill with 2 point and any other kill with 1. A clear 2v1 will result in half the points (rounded down).
First place will receive 3 points, second place will receive 2 points and third place will receive 1 point.
Map pool will be released once the players are known.
The winner of each set qualifies for the final.
The final will be a combination of a point system and knockout. After a few games, the player(s) with the least amount of points will be eliminated. More details on this will follow later.
Rules
No scaffold surviving, you are considered out if you have no real chance in winning the game.
No chat that may influence the game (gg is allowed, saying you are getting 2v1 or a player has power is not).
There is no need to argue about the points, these will be reflected later. If during the stream the wrong amount of points are handed out, you will continue the set instead of arguing. Delaying a set by arguing will result in a dq.
Players can only join once, unless there are not enough players to fulfill all sets.
Players have to play with their known names.
You play for yourself and you play to win. Any player that does not do that risk in getting disqualified.
The format is no rules, players are allowed to make any unit, building or upgrade within the Standard Fair Play Rules and Tournament Rules.
Prize pool - $375
First place - $200
Second place - $100
Third place - $75

That is a good question, which should have been answered in the first post but for whatever reason I left it out. It was in the draft I made though.
Anyways, there will be 7 sets in round 1 by 7 streamers and each set will have 7 players (if possible). One set will remain of 5 games, with the first one being a mirror. The ranking of this first game will be the decider in case players are tied for first place.
Signups are now open for the first set, Friday 12th of July at 17:30GMT by Legionnaire Generals.
Go to the Discord server, pick the right roles in case you haven't (see above in the first post), go to the channel named 'summer-ffa-chat' and sign up.
Get roles in the channel marked by the red circle, sign up in the channel marked by the green circle.
7 players will be randomly selected from the signups. If you did not make it, you will have an increased chance on getting into the next set.

Signups will close tomorrow evening. Then 7 players will be selected and will be informed.
Signups for set 1 are now closed.
Due to the amount of signups, it is possible that there won't be another signup session for set 2. More on that next week.

For now I have included you in the draw (no promises that you can play, since there are more than 7 signups and only 7 spots), but please join the discord for easier communication
Nice maybe vary the days for the other two sets if possible. Otherwise doesn’t give the chance for North American players unless they don’t have jobs as the other games are smack in the middle of the day on the same weekday lol
Best of luck with this guys! Super exciting to see
