The Site

The tourney site is where we will be hosting the tourneys.
To register in our tourneys do the following:
  • Register on the site with your online name.
  • Click on the tourney name (name will be given before every tourney).
  • Click on sign up to this tournament.
If its a team tournament you have 2 options: create your own team or sign up as a pug player (alone) in which case you will be randomly put in a team once tourney starts.
-----------------------------------------------

The Tournament
  • Go in lobby given to you by the host at the aproppriate time with the name that you registered on the tournament site. There will be no late arrivals accepted past 5 minutes. You will be removed from the tournament and not able to play in the next one if it ever happens again.
  • Once you win OR lose register the score of the game (e.g. 1 or 0 in his box and same in your box).
If one out of the 2 does not report for whatever reason just contact the host of the tourney via communicator on ZH online.
  • Make sure you save EVERY replay of your games, if there are any dispute the host will watch it to give you the final answer.[/color]
-----------------------------------------------

Tournament Types

Single elimination

This is the basic tournament. You play against the opponant that was matched against you. If you lose your out, if you win you continue to the next round where you play the other player who won while always following the brackets. This is basicle a "last man standing tourney" as the person who never lost is the winner.

Double elimination

Alot like the Single elimination but with its "losers bracket" which gives players a second chance to come back and win. After a player loses they go into the losers bracket, where they have another chance at life. The players in the losers bracket are like the same as the winner bracket in the sence that if they loser there out and if they win they continue. EXCEPT on the final game, where the player who has already won lost once has to beat his opponant 2 times to win (after he beat him once the guy who never lost before would go in the losers bracket and have to lay again).
This allows players that are good but lost at start because they played against to best or by mistake to comeback and still have a chance to play. Its boring when your good enough to be at least #2 but get eliminated at round 1 and can't play anymore. And if u lost by mistake you could get your revenge.

Round Robin

This is how you truly determine who is best. In round robin you play against every player an amount of times 1, 3, 5, ect (prefurably on different maps each time) and you get 1 point per win. Naturally the player at the end with the most points is the best as he lost the least against all the different kinds of strategies and armys.

Free For All

Last but not least, the most entertaining of all, the free for all. Im pretty sure everyone knows the basics of this. Everyone plays in 1 game (obviously a limit of 8 players per free for all due to maps), no teams or anything. Its against against everyone else (1vs1vs1vs1vs1...). The player that outlasts the rest is the one that outplayed the rest with abit of luck and secresy.

-----------------------------------------------

Rules

Absence

If you are absent to a tournament that you registered in you will be given 1 and only 1 warning. If it happens again you will not be allowed to register in the following tournament. And if it still continues you have a strong chance of never playing another tournament again.

If you registered and you are late (more then 5 minutes), it will count as an absence.

There are no valid excuses, you register, you show up. Its as simple as that. You may unregister at any time if you have last minute plans, but once you are in there is no leaving.

If you register for the tournament you must be prepared to be playing for AT LEAST 3 hours. If you do not think you will be able to stay in that long DO NOT ENTER. Someone who leaves in the middle of a tournament will have the same consiquences as someone who is absent or late.

Disconnection

If you or your partner disconnect it will count as an automatic loss, make sure that you take a screen shot of the other person disconnecting for proof.
If it happens many times you will not be allowed to play the following tournaments.

Cheats & bug abuse
There is a zero toleration policy against this. If you are caught cheating in any way you will be banned from all tournaments and Gamereplays.org for 4 weeks. If you do it again you will be banned forever.

Good Luck to all, and have fun!

You should allow people to unregister 24 hours (or because this tournament is hosted by the tournament site unregister at any time before registration closes) before the start of a tournament if registration is open for several days. I know people like me dont always have a predictable schedule. I can get called to work at almost any time of the week but I usually have at least a days notice.

This doesnt work, both players will show the other as disconnected. You need another method. Also in a 2v2 (or more) you should allow any allies to continue the game, if they can win a 1v2 props to them.

If you can not make the tourny, please unregister, simple as. Normally tournaments are put up at least 4days before the actual date for the event. If you get called up to work and are registered, simply un-register yourself and dont leave yourself registered when you know you can not enter.

Yes you can continue playing 1v2, if you are actually in the game. In the lobby, if your mate disconnects, there is no point playing 1v2. No player in the world can win it, waste of tournament time.
