It didn't work before? Was it hard to get working?
It was easy once I figured out what the problem was. The problem was that there was no options file and the game wouldn't create one, so it just crashed on startup. Manually creating an options file and the game started and runs. You have to run as administrator and in XP compatibility mode as well, and you need a no CD crack to get past the DRM (which Windows 10 blocks because the DRM is insecure).
Thank you. My Cooler Master Storm Stryker is easy for cable management considering it is as big as a house, and cable management on the outside was done with a small velcro strip.
Most of the cables are indeed hidden under the box now. Pre-shroud it looked like this (ignore the tape roll):

Not bad. What actually is in there?
Reckon even with my shit state wiring I'd give you a good run for your money. I think the problem is that my case is 10 years old now and is only a mid tower not a full tower.
Also did you take a look at the new HoN patch? It's worth a try.
ROG Swift? First model (with the TN panel) or one of the newer ones? Either way that's a crazy setup. How are you liking SLI? Heard mixed things about it.
Btw I'm not an AMD fan per se, their cards simply offer more bang for the buck. At the time I could choose between a 770 2GB (4GB was €40 more) or the 280x 3G so that was an easy choice. Getting Vega next upgrade because FreeSync is much cheaper than GSync, sometimes even €200 less.
Freesync is much cheaper you're right. I have the ROG Swift 9Q which is the latest model. It's IPS, 165hz and 1440p 27inch with gsync so you don't compromise on frame rate like you do with most IPS panels.
I love my set up, so far absolutely no issues with SLI. Some old crappy games don't support it, but they're old and crappy enough not to need both cards anyway. All modern titles would be losing out on significant sales revenue if they ignored SLI set-ups so it doesn't happen.
AMD is just meh for me but if you're building a PC on a budget then it's worth it.
The big money is made in the low/mid end of the market, where AMD offers much more bang for your buck with the 470 and 480. The 1050ti gets beaten by the 470 and the 1060 gets beaten by the 480.
Only thing they fucked up is not having a flagship GPU. There is currently nothing they can do against the 1070/1080/1080ti.
Hmm I don't remember reading that when I was doing all my research last year. I built my PC my self but had no idea how to do it is spent weeks reading about what was the best stuff and watching videos and the consensus was that AMD doesn't hold a very large market share at all and they under perform versus their benchmark counter parts.
I've always been an Nvidea fan my self ever since I got my first PC built for me 10 years ago.
Only got to play two rounds last night, but it's good so far. It's definitely Quake, but it's clear how they're also trying to appeal to the modern crowd with lootboxes, skins, and matchmaking. It runs well, I was playing on high settings (second highest level) and had no framedrops at all.
