Always loved Blizzards storylines. From the first time I played WarCraft II and listened to the voices in the mission briefing to the cinematic sequences in WarCraft III: Frozen Throne.

They always manage to make them really great and I expect no less from StarCraft II.

The Xel'Naga are surely gonna trash every single race really hard led by Samir Duran. I'm really eager to find out how they will manifest. I believe that Jim will find the artifacts and on the route to the sacred place to stop the Xel'Naga, Mengsk will appear and take the artifacts and he will have no idea what he's doing....then the Xel'Naga will come and destroy half the galaxy before Mengsk realize that he has to cooperate with both Jim, the Protoss and perhaps even Kerrigan.

Yeah, SC2's story won't win awards for inventiveness regarding plot line, but it will possess some truly great characters; something we haven't seen in an RTS campaign in a while.

I WANT I WANT I WANT I WANT I WANT!!!

As for the storyline of starcraft and w3, the writers pretty much just reused the storyline from starcraft for w3. Where kerrigan is replaced with arthas. Both turn evil, both betray their friends(brood wars), and both become ruler of their respective races(zerg and undead).

It's kind of disappointing when you think about it. Now the question is, will this storyline suck. Just hearing that I need to collect some artifacts makes me think of one of WoW's shitty quests. I am hoping that there will be room to play as all three races like in starcraft, but it might just be from raynor's perspective.

Starcraft still has the best storyline for any RTS ever made. I just hope that a lot of surprises and originality come out when I actually buy the game. Doing an MMO really kills the creative processes.

I think they are to wipe out the sector, believing that their experiments on the Zerg and the Protoss became a colossal failure.

They will surely wipe out the entire sector and not bothering hunting for them one-by-one.

Whatever they will do, I am sure they are surprised how a creature like Kerrigan could control the swarm in the end.

You are wrong my friend same like iaguz but well i will reply only on this post the other one is too long for my laziness tongue.gif.

- Kerrigan was betrayed and left to die from zerg what didn't happen thx to overmind.
- Arthas start act like insane and betrayed everyone for the power of froustmore and immortality he turn his service to Ner'zhul.

Both change that is only similar thing and rule now race but:
- Arthas was merge with Ner'zhul and there is no more Arthas or Ner'zhul they are both create one powerful being (Archon FTW wink.gif )
- For Kerrigan Overmind was like new father, gave her new family that will never betray her after his death she pick up his place to protect her new family but everything i wrote is simplicity compare to true story so just play once again if you not remember even my memory start to blend.

Of course there are some similarities but in race not in story line.

P.S. Kerrigan would be more similar to sylvanas than to arthas where arthas would be like a overmind? Nah. smile.gif

Starcraft 2 story line:

Part 1: Jim raynor and his crew are on the ball. Everything seems fine and warm until Jimy starts enjoying the sweet taste of alcohol.

As expected the bottle brings him to no good. Picking up strange crystals and selling them to shadowy black market traders equals trouble.

As said in demo videos the crystals have something to do xel'naga.
I gues xel'naga are not very hapy with how there two favourite creations have been behaving for one game and one expansion pack. So there coming back to show them who is who.

Meanwhile Jim and Co. were fighting the opresion of pro-communist Terran Dommion. To bring Democracy, freedom, higher education and racial equality to everyone.

As expected the Union Of Terran Socialist Republics has figured out that cotinued zerg terrorist action and freedom fighter rebelions has something to do with the crystals becouse Jim and Co. has been stealing them from them already for five or so missions.

Adn them the zerg hit. As well know they hit hard. The UTSR collapses leaving the humans in knee deep shit.

When everything seem worse than mondays the xel'naga show up.
In a desperate attempte to survive zerg, protos and normal people decide to unite. using the crystals as a weapon against the xel'naga.

With xel'naga beaten (but not destroyed) Jim forms a new Terran nation built upon the ideals of Democracy and Brotherhood.
Thus justifying the name "Wings of liberty"

Part2.

For part to Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers story line will do just fine.

Part3.

For part three... The script from The Return of The King would be greate, but who knows only autopsy will tell.
