So, me and Excalibur were exchanging trance music and I thought I'd start a topic about it. Anyone else who wants to post some trance in here, feel free to do so

Armin van Buuren vs Arctic Moon vs OneRepublic - If I Lose Myself Coming Home (Shura Vlasov Mashup)
I like Dash Berlin too, although he's really producing more electro and house these days than good old trance. I like some of his older stuff such as Disarm Me feat. Emma Hewitt and Waiting, also with Emma. If you like uplifting trance, I can recommend Aly & Fila, but also Bryan Kearney, Matt Bowdidge, Arctic Moon and perhaps some Protoculture.
Why do you think it always happens that most artist move to progressive/electro house music? Do you think Trance is slowly fading?

I myself love the classic sound, from around the 2000's, with artists such as Gouryella, old school Tiësto and Armin, Rank 1, Paul van Dyk, System F, those guys. It just feels so much more like genuine trance, really taking you on a journey to some far away place than just pumping out beats, which seems to be the trend nowadays.
Yeah exactly, most of my favorite trance tracks make me travel! I don't understand why so many hate it or simply act weird when you say you are listening to trance. Take Blue's reaction for example. None of my friends is listening to trance, I believe I am the only one and I think it's a genre than can be easily heard by many.
I didn't know any of the tracks you posted, mostly liked the second one! Thanks! I will try to post music that might be unknown to you since I believe that you are aware of the most popular ones from asot and armada. In case you don't want to listen to the whole track move directly to the part I add below the video!
Good tracks Excalibur, especially the first one! Really has some of that old school stuff in it, love it I was already familiar with Arisen Flame though, Armin plays his tracks on the ASOT episodes I think trance as it used to be is dying or already extinct in my opinion. The sounds from the 90s/2000s is gone, it's just too much cheese, electro and house/tech stuff nowadays. That's real trance in my opinion, it really takes you on a trip to some far away beach or cliff overlooking a sea or into outer space (lol, sounds weird perhaps, but that's how it makes me feel). I think it's progressing this way, because the DJs that used to play trance realise there's a much bigger market for house/electro than for trance, unfortunately. It's just basic commercialism. If you really want trance, you should listen to aliases of DJs like Armin's Rising Star alias, which is purely to make trance. Armin still has a huge passion for trance, but there's simply no market for it anymore, at least not big enough, but he uses his Rising Star alias to produce more trance stuff.
You should try Solarstone though, he has this Pure Trance label that is really epic. I was there in 2013 in Den Bosch when he dropped this massive Pure Trance set. It's like the best thing ever!
Or this one, it's called Ode to '99 for a good reason. It captures the sound of that year, of that time, perfectly. This is true trance in my opinion.

I love the fact that trance combines dance with emotion. That mix gives a powerful feeling and along with some incredible female vocals with beautiful lyrics the outcome is epic.

I "discovered" Trance on it's current state and liked it very much. I haven't really heard how trance used to be and I just checked the Ode to '99 track. Very very beautiful track.
Will soon listen to the Solarstone video you posted. Just checked the track list and it has 2 tracks I love (Oakenfold - Southern Sun and Solarstone & Clare Stagg - Jewel ) so it should be close to my taste!
Here is the track from which I discovered Andy Moor. It's quite unique I would say. So many feelings arise 1:18
This is a remix of the above song. At 3:05 I think it perfectly combines dance with feelings.
Andy Moor Feat Meredith Call - Undeserved Quite a simple but beautiful track.
Awesome tracks Excalibur, especially the remix. I already knew that one, but not the original. I didn't know you also posted the remix, so I was like, wait I know this tune, but not quite like this You really seem a big fan of Andy Moor. Could you post some more of his tracks? As for Smoky and Cancer Man (lol @ name), screw you guys XD.
Lazarus, minimal isn't really my thing either. Sorry man
Here are some more classics btw. I still cannot get enough of them
Those classics are lovely especially the first one! I think I have a remix of it but not quite sure. If only they had some vocals in them. Sometimes even the lyrics make me love a track that I didin't like at first.
The DJ Eco song is good! I already knew the Andy Moor tracks. Love Again is awesome, I must have played that song so many times, I can almost dream it. I think it was one of the top trance tracks of that year on ASOT.
New Tiësto is alright, fun, but it is nothing compared to old school Tiësto in my opinion. He lacks the conviction, the emotion. There's no depth to it anymore, whereas old school Tiësto gives me that soaring, flying feeling that takes you to another world.
This is his breakthrough set, played in Eindhoven, The Netherlands on Dec 31st 1999 at the Energy 2000 party. My favorite Tiësto set of all time. True old school trance, especially at 40:31 (Vengaboys - Kiss (Airscape Remix))
THORIN where have you been?! It sure took you some time to reply back!

Ah, I though you weren't listening to Andy Moor at all!

Yeah I don't like him at all anymore but the track I posted above reminds me a bit the old Tiesto. This is his best track for me! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtYPyRPzPxs

I need to check this out!
Hey cam, I was thinking of PMing you as well to get you in this topic since as it seems I recall correctly, you like trance!
Those are exactly the two Trance genres I love most along with amazing female vocals. Andrew Rayel is amazing and I like most of the tracks he played on the link you posted!
As I said to Thorin, this is one of my favorite if not my favorite trance track at the moment. It's been over a year since I discovered it and I still can't replace it! Please, tell me you have similar tracks to suggest...
3:40 Seriously, I feel that I am no longer on this planet when I hear that sound.
