It isn't very good at what it does imo.

For example XRetri is ranked 5 with 4-3 record and 582 points - I beat him 2 games in a row 1v1 (which are logged for ladder). I have win/loss record fo 8-0 and only 152 points...how does this work?

it takes a while for the ladder to stabilize. When players are jockeying for position and just have a few games played their ranks are being adjusted. After everyone gets more than 10 games in you'll start to see greater consistency with how points are awarded.

Basically you get points based on a modified ELO system, so beating someone higher than you (or a group of players with an average rank higher than your rank or your teams rank) will learn you more points. But as you move up the ladder points become harder for you to get.

Is there a way for the ladder to process team games and 1v1 games differently?

reskinned site, it's a work in progress, but for now it shows all relevant data for all PvP online matches (complete with player stats and match results)

the player ladder and match history works fine, the other parts are being worked on

yea the 8bit.clanwars.cc ladder does handle 1v1 and team games differently. there is a weight associated with team games.

the ladder takes all manner of games into consideration, even games like 2v2v2 or even 1v1v1v1v1v1v1 etc...

as long as the winner didnt have more players that the loser a calculation is made and the results are weighed
