May this strat rape Airborne, or counter bulletproof?

I didnt play for 2 years, only started playing again recently, so not 100% up to date with which units are buffed/nerfed.

Kangaroos used to be really good - they were only 180 manpower and 15 fuel IIRC, and they had much more health. Now they're OK, I guess? But overall, most people would prefer to stick with a Cromwell nowadays, rather than building 2 Kangaroos and filling them with a Bren and PIAT squad and running rampant over the map.

A good game, although Sandland could've easily won at about 48 minutes in when his half-health Pershing didn't ruin the hedge by yer base, which would've allowed his ATG to take out the Hotches.

For further enticement, the game features over 9000 Extremely Pro Tips by BartonPL while the game is going on, epic Tellers, and an appearance in text by Krebs 'Now, I'm not saying Nazi Germany was good but...' COHO.

When I used to play brit I never liked Roos. Always a fast cromwelll with commandos player myself. But got bored of brits. I like werh, but part of me really likes PE, maybe its the challenge of playing with them, or maybe its the fast vehicles.

Anyway, getting off topic..

I don't know if its just me or what, but I don't really have much success at all with UP-gunned Hotchkisses.

So when I first tried this strategy you end up with a load of munitions from SC OP correct? So since I have lots of munitions, I begin to immediately Upgun the Hotchkiss tank right after it leaves the support Kommand building, and when it's finished upgrading and gets into battle I was a bit disappointed with the results. It's supposed to shoot faster and have better penetration at a cost of accuracy right? It's no joke that a stationary Hotchkiss tank shot 4 shells at a lone stationary riflesquad that was not in cover and each shot missed that easy.

Do you have any success with this strategy against Infantry Doctrine? I find that rangers do not get easily sniped by Hotchkiss shells, they need to take 2 shots in order for a man to die, also their Zooks are very effective against the Hotchkiss that is Upgunned.

I guess I should stick to vanilla Hotchkiss with Stuka rockets instead?

Vanilla hotches are worse in almost every respect. For the serious.

Having them 'nilla with Stukas, yeah, whatever, if you're facing a lot of stationary stuff or are basically in a good enough position to shell the US triage to fuckery, but then you've kinda won by then already.

Well in that case I will go back to using the PIV, since I can't invest in a light tank which still will suck against Infantry when even upgunned, or probably because I can't use it right or something.

I want to see how this strategy works against American. To this end, I am proposing some matches against a PE player. Anyone level 12 or higher in PE, please let me know if you are free next Sunday for some practice matches. Thanks smile.gif

They're actually really good against infantry - just see them as 'half' a P4 and you're good to go. Two of them will pretty much ruin infantry and tanks alike, albeit shooting up tanks is a bit of a plinkfest.

Sturzdorf is not really good using this, the ammo point are too sketched away and hard to defend

Angoville is completely shit for this strat

Semois is quite good with SC spam, and there are two points that are unable to cut off and protected by your starting flaks
PG spam is ok-ish, need to spread well and have good map control

Langre and WT, PG spam for sure

blowland, just PG spam is autowin already

Thanks Porygon. There is some interesting mix of SCs and PGs? 4 PGs+2 SCs?
