Most players here are among the best in their respective RTS. RTS games involve strategic thinking and micromanagement on different areas of the map at the same time. It obviously takes a little intelligence to do this. My question though, is how much. What is your IQ?

Do you think that IQ helps you in RTS? Does it correlate with skills?

We had a thread like this on the old CNCReplays and it lated for about 500 posts before it got locked because people there were mature. We'll see how it goes here but I think the community here is mature enough to handle it also

IQ's are a gimmick... theres no standard test for testing someones IQ. So many people think their IQ is 200+ which is like good compeition for Einstein and Galileo. Whoever voted for theirs is 165~ I think they got tested wrong, that means you are extremely smart.. I don't mean smart... i mean EXTREMELY smart.

when i got mine tested for what seemed a fairly reliable source i scored 122 on a 12 minute timed test.

someone try the 180+ iq test... the genius one. if you can answer one of those questions correctly i will give you 3 cookies. the highest scores in the world for that test are 22/25.

I don't know my IQ, but I'd have to say that IQ does affect your skill, but not as much as just knowing the game and practicing various strategies.

Smart people make smart players. That's why there are not a lot of pros that are 12.

My IQ's actually 126, but i do agree that IQs really arent acurate, if anyone here thinks that there smarter then einstein because they got a better IQ there dead wrong... go help invent a new super weapon for all of use and make mathematical procedures people cant even understand fully and then maybe you'll be as smart as him at the best..

Why do people say crap like this. It's the same with ZH stats. It works MOST of the time, ok? If it didnt then then it wouldnt be so widely used.

I remember this thread back on cncreps. Apparently 90% of the members here had IQ's of over 160, which I find to be bullshit. I'm around 136 (I asked my doctor to administer one a year ago), and I know I'm smarter than a lot of the dipshits on this site (no offense to the people who aren't dipshits). Average IQ is around 100, if everyone is ABOVE average, then it's no longer the average, is it. This poll will be extremely inaccurate, seeing as how 95% of the people who think they know their IQ haven't had an actual test administered...

I'Ts our only test, so there for we keep using it, but there is no way to actually prove how strong your mind is, seriously if einstein only got 165 then you know that its not 100% accurate.

Im not kissing ass or anything, but it baffles me your IQ is only 136...you're quite possibly the smartest person I've ever talked to. Sometimes your extremist views make you sound unintelligent imo, but underneath it all you're very smart.

Er, 136 is a good score and the fact that IQ isn't a direct comparison to how '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''smart'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' someone is.

Depending on the test you get different results. The numbers tend to float between 120 and 160. Perhaps taking a test when your 1/2 asleep isn't the best

Roughly, yea. I know some people who have learning disabilities, but they have brilliant minds and often excell exceedingly well in an area (or more). I'd hate to meet such a person with a knack for gaming
