Game Freezes On Joining ( Zero Hour )

Hello

Me and my friend have tried to play via gentool and gameranger and we have a problem
When we join into a game the game freezes and the connection thing pops up where you can vote people out or quit
We tried alot of different things to make it work but nothing helps
We use the ultimate pack on origin

Tried :
:Running the game as Administrator and in Windows XP SP 3 compatibility mode
:Disable origin ingame
:Disable Antivirus/Firewall
:Port Forwarding
:Reinstalling game and gentool
:Running gentool patcher

We are running out of ideas and its really annoying when you can't play online with a friend
Any help is greatly appreciated

Hello. Reads like you tried all of the fixes already. Do you encounter the same issue when playing alone or versus someone else with either one of the two machines?

Can play alone it seems via online but with other people the game freezes as well
and sometimes the loading screen doesn't work ( no loading, frozen screen )
and the graphics glitch out as well when ingame

EDIT :
got into a game but super laggy and game freezes from time to time
enemies might have left

Will do another reinstall of game and gentool and gentool patcher

Hmm ok, certainly sounds like a problem on your end. Do you have any fancy hardware/software setup? Do you run Windows in Virtual Machine?

Standart setup with win 10 single boot and no VM running
No fancy software either
Disabled windows defender and firewall and malwarebytes
Nothing should be blocking it

Hmm that is odd indeed. Did you happen to install the Windows 10 Version 20H2 Update? I know that is breaks some legacy Windows libraries which could be a potential problem.

I am on Windows 10 Version 1909 and everything is ok.

Tried reintalling all of it again and still doens't work

I guess that is good to know. Hard to say what causes this, especially since you tried all the things already.

Can you tell me everything i can do ?
I am going to just do everything over again
I removed the port forwarding but i forgot the numbers
Please Tell me everything so i can try it again in order
Might work else i am screwed i guess
Makes me really sad that i can't play online

What is a good vpn to use ?
A free one is preffed
Hamachi is an option but that never worked before so might not work now and gameranger doesn't work either

What ports did you forward?

For gameranger, you should forward 16000 UDP only.
