Ok, so I know we've tried this countless times but here it is...

Right now the CnC Collection is on sale on Origin for 9.99 but hell it's only 19.99 not on sale. So go purchase this and install Generals and Zero Hour... Then download Gentool 7.0 and go to http://cnc-online.net/ and sign-up for a new account.

Once we get 4 people that have done this let me know here and we will schedule a gaming night. I have done this and got online so I know I'm good.

TBH I don't really have a PC cable of running ZH. I know, it's 2015 and I can't run a game that came out in 2004! I have no interest in PC gaming overall, but when I do finally get a new desktop PC ill probably install it.

Haha. I posted not that long ago about what I've been up to but here's an update!

Basically I'm busy working for a fish health company that serves the Scottish salmon industry. We mostly investigate health issues and provide advice and solutions for things like disease and parasite outbreaks. My specific role has been developing the pharmaceutical supply part of the company (from scratch) in close collaboration with our MD. It's a small company so I've basically been involved in everything: sales, marketing, market research, distribution, warehouse management, stock management, ordering, invoicing, pricing, customer relations, technical meetings, event organisation (and attending the events!), health and safety...you name it, I probably have something to do with it. Hopefully visiting Norway Lofoten Islands on business again in June smile.gif

Can be crazy at times and my first year (started 12.02.14) has been a very steep learning curve full of challenges I wasn't necessarily expecting. But it's exactly in the industry I studied to work in and there's a lot of opportunity for personal and professional development, so I can't really complain smile.gif It would be nice to have a few more people to help out in my pharma sales unit, but we will get there later this year hopefully!

Gaming wise I only have the Xbox One and don't really have any intention of buying a PS4 (even though I could) simply because I don't have enough time to game on 2 systems. Flamzy - I will more than likely buy a decent PC within the next few months as I'm in need of a desktop. This might be sped up if either of you have any good suggestions that might help! I'm aware that Alienware machines are essentially glorified Dells, but at the same time I'm not interested in building a PC from scratch. I would be prepared to click through customisations on a webpage though tongue.gif

As for specific games, I've been playing Master Chief Collection on X1 as I'm a halo fanboi and of course a bit of BF4 now and again. My next game will probably be AC: Unity as I've still not played it, and then I'll buy Batman Arkham Knight in June (looks amazing!).

Outside of work and games I recently visited India in January for a friend's family wedding. Rather incredible - the fed over 1000 people on the day!! The whole trip was a real eye opener. I'd like to visit the north of India next time. But sooner than that I might be travelling to Melbourne in December for another family friend's wedding. And I have 2 more weddings to go to middle of this year - I'm clearly at that age where everyone's getting married. In another year or two they'll all be having kids haha.

How about you guys?

Nice Fraser, sounds like you're doing well for yourself.

I am still working in the IT Industry at the same company I've been at since 2008. Work is pretty good and I've moved up into mid-level management so that is fun as it has taught me new things and opened my eyes on a lot of things as well.

As for my family I'm married as you all know and expecting my second kid in July of this year. I have an 18 month old as well so going to have two toddlers here soon enough. With the family the global vacations and visiting of people has to take a back seat for a while for me. If I go on a vacation it will be a few hundred miles south to the beach, ha.

Ya...the wife and I were taking vacations every year to someplace outside the state before we had a house and kids.

I got my last one from computerplanet.co.uk and more recently a laptop from pcspecialist.co.uk - really good prices, customisation that automatically restricts conflicting parts and decent turnaround (Couple weeks, you can always shell out £50 extra for super fast service). I looked at building the same from bought components and it turned out to be cheaper to have them do it!

I'm 5 months into a PhD on bone composition/disease looking at microstructures and their interactions. The fools are paying me to do it so it's practically just work. I get to play with some very expensive laser machines and hack up dead things, always fun to be had! Just about to move to London (Wembley) with the gf of 5 years and our dog and cat (practise children).

Still playing way too many games. I imagine real life will force it out of me sooner or later but I'm the boss of my own time and I'm a terrible manager biggrin.gif I did join up with UCL's league of legends team and won a tournament to go play in Spain this April, all expenses wooooooo.

It's reassuring to know there are people with consideration for others, ie. parents who will not take young children and infants on long haul flights!

Thanks Flamzy I'll take a look at both!

Nice one on the PhD however you are a brave man! It's such a huge commitment in my opinion. You genuinely will not have time to game once you get into the thick of writing it all up. Unless you're happy to complete your PhD in 6 years with the latter years unfunded tongue.gif

Nothing to do with polite (though we'd ensure the kids were quiet on flights), its the costs, extra time (caring for kids) extra luggage, car seats etc. More logistics. They're older now, so they can haul their own luggage, but now I'm paying for 5 tickets, bigger hotel rooms, etc.
