GameReplays.org _ Battle for Middle-earth General Discussion _ New Patch Installer (all in one) for BFME1

Posted by: ICT May 14 2016, 17:58 PM

Hi,

Manually downloading and patching to 1.03, 1.05 (no installer thus far) and 1.06 with many different places to get files from is no longer necessary.

This helps:
Once you've installed the (original) game it's now simple to get it up-to-date, including extended widescreen zoom (new version including campaign maps), multilanguage support and server launcher.

Direct dowload: http://server.cnc-online.net/downloads/patch/T3AOnlineBFME1_Patch1.06_AIO.exe
(https://forums.revora.net/topic/105416-bfme1-t3a-patch-106-installer-all-in-one/)

Cheers.

Hello,

Does the patcher executablet require any open ports?

I am getting a download failed when I try to run it. Connection to the server could not be established.

Thanks

Your firewall has to allow the download. It's only using ftp/http.

Thanks!

I downloaded everything. I had the original BFME disc installed ( I won it) then I put in the patch. But my screen zoom is working but it does not exapand across the full wide screen (massive black bars on the side). Any way to fix this?

Did you set up your resolution properly?

New Language: Traditional Chinese added (thanks to star013268)!
I've also added http mirrors for people having trouble accessing the EA FTP server for the patch download during installation.

Please let me know if you are aware of any Chinese communities.

Use the T3A server account, no the forum account. See https://t3aonline.net/setup/

Can any one confirm current activity on this server and also is this full patch that is played on gameranger?

Posted by: ICT Oct 28 2017, 17:05 PM

I can confirm activity on he server. Some older and newer players, skill level from new to good, but not elite compared to gr. And yes, patch 1.06 is played across all platforms, which is quite nice.

Thank you , do you know were i can find listing of changes? Does this patch keep my single player intact?

List of changes is in the changelog of the patch. It's more or less the same as 1.03, but you don't need a cd anymore to play, it fixes some bugs and has visual enhancements. Single player is the same as before.

What are the changes for 1.04-1.05 ?

Posted by: Kerkyra Mar 28 2018, 18:58 PM

1.04 - Increase game speed by about 30 %
1.05 - Introduce new colors + mouvements bugs

Back then 80% of player didn't use 1.05 but 1.04 instead untill we switch to 1.06.

The Game increasement of 30% wasnt that necessary. Was the game too slow or what? xD

Yeah the same thing for me, but then I fixed it, can`t remember how exactly, I think it`s because you missing patch 1.03, don`t forget you need to add thehttps://www.moddb.com/games/battle-for-middle-earth/downloads/patch-103-english before you install the patch 1.06... good luck
